Looking like buendia is looking like a real possibility, the club seem to be really keen on him, very excited for this rumour it seems to be carrying a lot of substance unlike a lot of other rumours 🤞🤞🤞.

Was thinking the same Rob, with Emi in his ear telling him how he was treated at Arsenal, and how it’s been the opposite at Villa etc. Hopefully we can pull it off.
I think payments up front will get the deal done, both clubs will match one another to get the deal done, then it will come down to who offers the most upfront, that will be most appealing to Norwich.

Exactly guys hopefully emi tells him exactly how much of a shambles arsenal are as a club right now, beating them twice this year should also help and those wins at the end of the season make us look pretty positive overall imo.

Just a little question for everyone then.
Is Emi Buendia a better player than Matheus Pereira?
and if you think he is, what evidence backs that up.
Don’t get me wrong I really like what I’ve seen of Buendia, but I like what I’ve seen of Pereira also. For me there’s little to choose between the 2 of them, and I would be delighted if we got either of them.
Norwich reportedly want around 40 million for Buendia though, I just wonder if Pereira might be a bit less than that.

Yes, yes he is better. Evidence is watching the two of them. Both good players, Buendia is better. May benefit from playing in a more attacking system which obviously allows him to show his talent more, however you can only go off what you see, and anyone who has watched the two of them, more than just the odd games or highlights, will tell you, Buendia is better.

That’s fair enough Chris, but I was just looking at their stats for the games they’ve played in the Premier League. The season before this one when Norwich got relegated, Buendia played in 36 matches. In those games, he scored 1 goal and provided 7 assists. Last season Pereira played in 33 matches, scored 11 goals and provided 6 assists.
I know Buendia’s stats for last season were impressive, he scored 15 goals and provided 16 assists. However that was in the Championship, whereas Pereira has proved he can produce outstanding stats in the Premier league.
I have got the impression that our hierarchy are very much swayed by stats, just saying mate.

I have to agree here with ChrisAVFC Emi B is better the Perriera or however you spell it, i think he does more in games than Perriera does for the baggies, i feel he often goes missing in games and has that speical momment where as Emi B always seems to be in the action and involved and the type of player we need to help take the load of Jack. I think if we can land him he will definitely create a lot more issues for teams and if anything could make Jack even more dangerous as teams will have more than one player who can create anything from nothing.

I think we have a real chance with Periera but Buendia’s family favour a move to the capital, so I think it’s unlikely we land him despite press speculation.

Hope your right Moose however I think we should know fairly quickly, the rumours are we are close to reaching a deal acceptable to Norwich, if that’s the case then if he wants to join he should sign if he prevaricates then that would suggest he is waiting for someone else to come in, if that’s the case then we should move on we don’t want Rashica 2.0 on our hands and look to land Pereira £15 million sounds like a bargain in today’s market to me.
