Rumoured Villa have agreed to buy Feyenoord's Lutsharel Geetruida for £35m.
28 Jul 2024 16:35:13
Rumour we have gone in with a loan offer for Kalvin Phillips
1.) 28 Jul 2024 19:33:39
Strange one this, we seem well stacked in that area, he’s definitely no better than dendonker
2.) 28 Jul 2024 21:31:24
I agree it’s a strange one, but no better than Dendoncker. Really!
3.) 29 Jul 2024 01:15:33
I dunno if it’s true or not but I read on another site that Leander is off to Italy and Phillips would be a direct replacement, we’ve offered to pay 50% of his wages (65k) which is apparently 10k less than we currently pay Dendoncker. if all that is anything like correct. I guess it’s decent business
4.) 29 Jul 2024 13:55:36
We've already signed Barkley, Onana and Enzo so I think we can afford to lose Dendoncker without a replacement.
A 6 month loan while Kamara recovers wouldn't be bad but I'd look elsewhere with how bad Phillips was for West Ham.
19 Jul 2024 21:21:18
Rumours are that Spurs are closing in for Ramsey, £19m + Celso.
1.) 20 Jul 2024 08:47:34
No chance, lo Celso not worth 5 million in the last year of contract, Ramsey won’t leave for less than 50 million.
2.) 20 Jul 2024 11:40:21
We allegedly have an interest in Kulusevski I wonder if an exchange deal can be brokered with him coming to VP as part of any deal for Ramsey?
3.) 20 Jul 2024 20:12:51
Whack, sorry to say this but the rumour is getting stronger and stronger to ignore. If it goes ahead then Unai must see something in Celso that he likes.
4.) 20 Jul 2024 21:20:11
Emery had Lo Celso at PSG I think so knows the player, but I agree with Whack that we are undervaluing Ramsey if the deal is Lo Celso + £20 million, In the final year of his contract Lo Celso is worth £15 million tops therefore I would expect at least £30 million makeweight to make the deal happen. As Diaby is off, and Spurs are trying to sign Pedro Neto from Wolves if we let Ramsey go we should ask for Kulesevski as part of the package rather than Lo Celso.
5.) 20 Jul 2024 21:33:01
Whilst the rumour may be getting stronger it does not make it true, why pay 50 million for Onana if your interested is swapping 1 of your young stars with 2 season’s senior experience for a 28 year old soon to be out of contract plus a measly 20 million that you got for a kid who barely kicked a ball with the senior team, makes no football sense or business sense, rumours Diaby was sold for 50 million last week but still no medical, they are just rumours copied and pasted, I ain’t saying that a deal won’t happen but it won’t happen at that price, maybe if the throw in kulesevski it might make more sense.
6.) 20 Jul 2024 22:29:12
Agree and why would we sell to 1 of our rivals aswell
7.) 21 Jul 2024 07:59:17
Hope you are right but I am not convinced.
19 Jul 2024 15:01:22
So apparently MANU have tried to hijack our agreement at the last moment with Everton for Onana. Despite being offered better terms he has said he will honour his promise to Unai.
Hope we beat MU and Onana scores the winning goal.
1.) 19 Jul 2024 15:57:37
What an honourable guy.
2.) 19 Jul 2024 18:30:37
Certainly appears like he has honoured his obligation with us.
Let’s hope he’s the player we all want him to be now. Not many Everton fans seem too upset about him leaving, certainly not for the fee we’ve paid.
3.) 21 Jul 2024 01:03:58
There is player in onana from Everton fan but he goes missing quite bit he has all attributes to dominate midfield but he doesn't. Think lot fans got fed up with him when he did stupid pen in cup. Plus most fans expected him to go anyway properly not villa like but to arsenal. He struggled to get in team back end season he just not effective in sean dyche system he suit emery style more.
13 Jul 2024 11:23:08
Rumoured we are close to signing Amadou Onana from Everton.
Any thoughts?
1.) 13 Jul 2024 11:51:11
Here We Go lol
2.) 13 Jul 2024 12:26:05
Excellent statement of intent
3.) 13 Jul 2024 12:30:46
Onana wouldn’t have been my first choice, Ndidi would have been a steal on a free, but I would have preferred us trying for the likes of Koopmeiners or Ruben Neves I think either would come cheaper than Onana
4.) 13 Jul 2024 13:07:31
I think £50m is a lot for him, especially as that Midfield is starting to get a little crowded with players who would expect to be regular starters.
He's young though and if Emery can sort out his atrocious passing and calm him down a little bit then he could prove to be good value.
5.) 13 Jul 2024 13:46:27
Emery will improve him no doubt it’s just a matter of how much, we have a lot of games ahead of us this season, we are getting to the point of 2 very good players for every position which is where we want to be to stay in the top 4. writing could be on the wall for Ramsey now and looking like it would be a cash deal as we wouldn’t need Lo Celso.

Heck has announced all tickets have now been sold for the Bayern match.
1.) 10 Sep 2024 15:24:13
As I said in a earlier post CL came a season or 2 early for us to help build our financial standing hence ticket prices and so on but needs must if you want to carry on playing European football and compete on all fronts. We are not the top teams yet hence their ticket prices but if we cary on the way we are going I'm sure in 2 to 3 years we will reap the benefit believe in the owners who in my opinion are the best in the world!
2.) 10 Sep 2024 18:30:55
Anyone know why I couldn’t see these tickets on the app?
04 Sep 2024 06:55:44
Great article on Birmingham Live this morning about the difficulties of buying and selling players in the transfer window. Well worth the read.
1.) 04 Sep 2024 12:34:15
The report above was titled “Inside Villa’s transfer timebomb” for those interested.
31 Aug 2024 06:40:17
I think that many of you (including me) have missed the whole point and have forgot how much PSR has restricted our business in transfers.
It has been clear with all our dealings that we have had to sell players before we could buy them so we have been shackled throughout the transfer window.
I am absolutely sure NSWE would have loved to have put further money up front to det the players we wanted but just couldn't risk us getting points taken from us during this season.
We will continue to struggle until we boost our revenue stream which is what they are doing with their three year revenue plan.
UTV
1.) 31 Aug 2024 09:04:29
Hi Aka, you hit the nail on the head here with regards revenue to compete at the very top level of football you must have a sizeable revenue we are trying to do that via corporate areas of VP and off field advertising like they did in New York.
Unfortunately for us we are not in London nor are we a one city club so it is much harder for us to achieve our goals as you well know football has evolved over the last 10 years and in them 10 years we have been in the Championship we are still playing catch up with the teams that was PL stalwarts what we have achieved is nothing short of a miracle.
With regards transfers PSR and the UEFA, one has screwed us over big time but it is what it is I'm sure Emery and Co know what they are doing who are we not to trust the best thing that's happened to our club in our lifetime?
So let's sit back put our feet up and enjoy the best season we have seen down VP in recent memory.
27 Aug 2024 07:56:10
So, 3 days and a few hours left until transfer window slams shut. Does anyone think we will bring in a new back and forward? Personally I am not at all confident.
1.) 27 Aug 2024 09:01:45
The only name I keep hearing being linked now is Gomez. £45m? That is an awful lot of money.
We missed out on our main target, Felix, whether fans wanted him or not.
I’m not sure we’ll get anyone else now.
Looks increasingly like the deal involving Luiz going to Juventus has done us no favours. Barrenechea and Iling Jr possibly going out on loan.
PSR has properly screwed us this summer.
2.) 27 Aug 2024 09:26:05
Geertruida and Goncalves would be awesome.
3.) 27 Aug 2024 09:50:09
That would make it an epic window Dude, I’m not overly confident of getting anyone else in at this point, maybe I’m wrong I hope I am as we still look light.
4.) 27 Aug 2024 10:59:44
I am hearing they are still working on Geertruida for £30. Million but I am still not overly convinced.
5.) 27 Aug 2024 13:50:27
It is reported Villa have agreed to buy Feyenoord’s Lutsharel Geetruida for £35m.
Let’s hope this is true as Cash is unavailable for the nest month.
6.) 27 Aug 2024 18:25:01
Geetruda would be good and ward prouse, and a winger
20 Aug 2024 14:32:18
With only just over 10 days of the transfer window left I am getting to the stage where I don't expect any more new players to arrive. Hope I am pleasantly wrong but not at all confident.
1.) 20 Aug 2024 15:47:06
I think we are likely to move for Lo Celso as a cut price option. If Carlos goes i think we may go for another centre back although that said Bogarde seems to be impressing so even that’s not a certainty.
29 Aug 2024 19:04:08
Dutch right back.
29 Aug 2024 18:10:56
Looks like he is going to RB Leipzig.
21 Jul 2024 07:59:17
Hope you are right but I am not convinced.
20 Jul 2024 20:12:51
Whack, sorry to say this but the rumour is getting stronger and stronger to ignore. If it goes ahead then Unai must see something in Celso that he likes.
17 Jul 2024 09:26:02
Jonny speculation is that Monchi is looking to replace him with Nico Williams.
08 Oct 2024 07:10:06

16 Sep 2024 14:40:28
RIP Gary, a real legend.
11 Sep 2024 07:27:50
Nicely put Daz.
I was 9 when I was taken to my first Villa match in 1959 and have had a roller coaster trip watching them in all the top 3 divisions since then
It is quite obvious to me that we have to generate a lot more money to make further progress if we want European football on a more regular basis.
Our owners have been fantastic up to now and we as Villa fans need to back them all the way.
05 Sep 2024 06:30:48
If you are a pensioner like me Tom you can’t just do overtime you either pay it or not.
I saw the report that Trinity mentions and we were very close to missing the June 30 deadline to miss dropped points.
You are dammed if you do and dammed if you don’t.
I don’t blame our owners for the price of these tickets I blame PSR.
04 Sep 2024 18:12:49
Agreed Tom. The other 3 English Championship sides have larger capacity at their grounds than we do and can generate larger amount of money even by charging Less than we do.
We really need either a new stadium or an increase in capacity at Villa Park.
