Anyone heard of Abdou harroui. Centre mid from Sparta Rotterdam. Reports saying club have accepted an offer from unknown club but it's being reported it's us.

{Ed002's Note - My notes say:

Abdou Harroui (CM/DM/RW) Due to his versatility, seen at one time by Brighton as a Bissouma replacement and his agent has noted enquiries from Anderlecht, Nottingham Forest, Rangers, Leeds and Twente - but it is difficult to see how the Sparta Rotterdam player would get a Work Permit without an exemption or a club paying over the odds to be able to play in England. Generally used in CM or as a RW. Nottingham Forest had said that if they can sign him they will seek an exemption.}

1.) 23 Aug 2021 17:26:04
He chosen a relegation battle with Forest.

06 Aug 2021 11:21:30
Tomorrow's game has been cancelled just great.

1.) 06 Aug 2021 12:09:14
Odd. You can still book tickets on the AVFC site.

2.) 06 Aug 2021 12:22:23
Aha - it’s on Twatter. Club currently looking for a replacement team. Come on - bring on the noses 😂.

3.) 06 Aug 2021 13:04:53
Could play Stoke?

4.) 06 Aug 2021 14:56:19
Not possible - the Championship starts tomorrow, so this time next year you lot will be beginning your own Championship campaign 😂.

5.) 06 Aug 2021 20:08:38
Villa now have a friendly on Sunday against Salernitana
- AVFC official site have announced.

25 Jun 2021 07:52:06
I see the best newspaper in the world The rubbish I mean The Sun reporting Jacks agents have apparently been given the green light for them to get the transfer of Jack to Man City. Got to love The rubbish ooops done it again the The Sun sorry.

1.) 25 Jun 2021 09:58:49
I would love to hear a word from Grealish. No I am not going anywhere Villa is a place to be in a decades to come. Villa are not selling Villa are buying. Villa is coming for all of you. Resistance is futile.

2.) 25 Jun 2021 10:45:07
Daily Mail are now reporting deal almost agreed with Man City for £100m.

3.) 25 Jun 2021 11:19:13
What is the point in a having a league if a player has a good season at any club Man City come in buy them and everyone is back to square one.

4.) 25 Jun 2021 11:22:30
Daily mail have written an article and credited the sun as their source. It’s all coming from one, very untrustworthy source👍

He may go, but the owners have proven throughout their time here, they know what their doing, losing Grealish is monumental for Villa, but the people you’d trust to keep progressing us in his leaving, their already in place and doing a mighty fine job.

Personally, I think he’ll stay atleast another season. He had a brilliant season just gone but also missed a chunk with injury, Man City although have a bigger squad, they also have a much more congested fixture list. Plus they’ve never spent more then 60/ 65 million on a player, going to cost them double that for Grealish, with it all upfront. I think they’ll try, realise our owners aren’t going to be bullied, and go back in for Kane.

5.) 25 Jun 2021 11:27:53
Talking of Man City, Spurs, and the rest of the big 6 or should I say failed Super league teams. Has anyone seen how much they have to pay for causing uproar. 20 million between them to the lower leagues. That is a god damn joke bare in mind we are talking of City spending over 200 million on 2 players. Premier League and FA should grow a pair of balls and put the ****ers under a transfer embargo of least find them something that might cause them a bit of worry no only in our league do we find them 20 million between the 6.

6.) 25 Jun 2021 12:15:09
I hope its all smoke and mirrors with these Grealish rumours. Agent leaks City in for him, Villa start new contract negotiations, new improved contract signed, Agent gets a cut, Grealish stays at the club he loves, 2 fingers stuck up to our rivals that you CAN'T just buy who you want =everyone's a winner. Worked for years with the likes of Messi and Ramos. Just the usual contract/ money chicanery that goes on in the world of football. Nothing to see here, please move along.

{Ed002's Note - You seem to have drifted in to the twilight zone.}

7.) 25 Jun 2021 12:35:14
Makes more sense than the real world 😁.

8.) 25 Jun 2021 12:44:38
Manchester City have a genuine interest in Jack Grealish and are set to make their move. but #avfc are intent on keeping him at the club, with talks ongoing over a new contract. Villa's owners are ambitious and serious about continuing the club's progress - John Percy

Interesting few days ahead, either he goes for a British record or gets a bumper new deal.

9.) 25 Jun 2021 15:17:59
I think it’s win win for us, we either keep him or we get a ridiculous amount of cash for him, owners won’t sell him for 100 million more like 140-150 we hold the aces, player has a long contract and we don’t need the money this year, if we do sell we know our owners are not afraid to invest so we are sitting pretty imo.

10.) 25 Jun 2021 16:11:15
Whilst I like Jack, I agree with you Whack, I think it is win win for us. If Jack stays with us that’s great, however if he wants to go, we say to City we want Harrison plus £80 million and whilst City supposedly have agreed to sell Harrison to Leeds, if they want Jack then that’s the deal take it or leave it. The £80 million we get we then invest in the likes of JWP, Berge, and Abraham in that way the squad is a lot stronger than what we have currently which has to be good for the future of the club

At the risk of upsetting at least one of the Ed’s again, how realistic from an ffp perspective is it for City to sign both Grealish and Kane? Ands that’s a genuine question I confess I don’t know.

11.) 25 Jun 2021 16:48:49
It would be sad to see Jack go but I do agree with Wack and John. I think the lad is craving to play at an higher level in European and world competitions and If he leaves I would say good luck to him and thank you for your years of service at Villa Park.

12.) 25 Jun 2021 17:07:30
Maybe that's why old captain beaky isn't playing Jack- City have given him a nice brown envelope ala Fat Sam not to so the rest of the world can't see how good he really is and keep the price down? 🤔
And before the Eds jump all over this, I am firmly tongue in cheek with this comment 😁
Ps no animals were harmed during its making 👍.

13.) 25 Jun 2021 17:32:46
Think I’ve probably already said this many times before, don’t underestimate how Villa mad Jacks family are and the influence they will have, I don’t think he’ll leave for that reason alone, I’m sure he’ll get a new deal and a pay rise and I don’t begrudge him that, he’s in the England squad, through gritted teeth every England fan knows he’s probably the biggest player/ superstar of the group, not saying that through Villa tinted glasses either, if we get the players we’ve been linked with (JWP etc) then we’ve got as good a chance as any of getting top 4, winning domestic cups, he’d want to be a part of that, I’m sure some would disagree but he’s in touching distance of being known as the GOAT at Villa, the fella hasn’t even peaked yet

14.) 25 Jun 2021 17:51:58
Ally there may be a few that actually "peak" if Jack ends up signing a new contract 😁.

15.) 25 Jun 2021 19:05:27
Come again Moose.? 😝

16.) 25 Jun 2021 19:19:40
You'll have to give me a few minutes 😊.

17.) 25 Jun 2021 19:52:17
Mrs Moose is a lucky woman, Mrs Ally has to read War and Peace waiting…

18.) 25 Jun 2021 21:34:27
I have just read a fascinating article about how Wes Eden rewards loyalty in his star Baskerball player Milwaukee Bucks player Giannis Antetokounmpo in the states and keeps the opposition vultures away from him.
This is a similar situation to Jack’s position at Villa and I would recommend you all have a look at it.
You can find it on the Aston Villa rumours Now site under a Under the Gas Lit Lamp article.

19.) 25 Jun 2021 21:49:16
🤣🤣🤣🤣 like it Ally 👍.

20.) 26 Jun 2021 08:43:32
Posted about Eden’s and the Bucks half way through the season Aka, when some were telling us how our down turn in form will annoy the owners and Grealish will be off, the managers getting sacked next week and Gerrards the new boss etc etc. It’s amazing how little research people still do when as you’ve highlighted, there’s so much info out there these days.

21.) 27 Jun 2021 09:25:00
You can bet Jonathan Barnett is going to prosper out of Grealish-gate, whatever eventually happens.

There seems to be two key factors here:

1. Grealish’s own wishes
2. Financial recompense that meets Sawiris/ Edens’ demand.

The difficulty could lie with the latter, as even City will have a budget to work to and moving on expensive/ highly paid players to accommodate JG will not be easy.

05 Jun 2021 21:08:26
Emi Buendia looks set to join the new revolution at Villa Park, who is next that we want through the doors. I personally would like to see us get Matty Targett back up sorted also Axel in 2 and then move to the rest of the attacking options.

1.) 05 Jun 2021 22:31:47
Don’t see the lure of axel tbh he has very little experience at the top lvl, we have enough bench warmers, much rather white. I can see us getting another winger and I think we will spend a good sum on a striker, maybe a LB but I see promotions from the U23’s to fill up the bench.

2.) 06 Jun 2021 08:36:54
I think Axel just covers the CB's positions Whackattack as I can see Engles going and we need that extra cover in there, I agree with the promotions from the u23's all I know is whatever the club is doing they are going forwards in every direction.

27 May 2021 07:32:06
See some journo has made a rumour up that levy has bid for jack and thst jack has apparently agreed personal terms with Spurs. Got to try love this. Niccolo Russo is the journos name. Can barely see Levi paying 1 million bare in mind they over in more debt thst Barcelona lol.

1.) 27 May 2021 13:52:18
If jack leaves it will be to win trophies so that rules spurs out. I still think chelsea or Real Madrid are most likely destinations if he does go.

2.) 28 May 2021 19:57:49
Will Ebenezer Levy lift up his earlier offer of £5M for Grealish? Nah.

Both Spurs and the Gunners need to sell in order to buy, despite the cobblers we see written in the press.

Going to make a point here Steer isn't good enough and too many people need to take off their he got us up tinted glasses. His overall game is atrocious. Having played and coached the game for many years I've had keepers taken to academies and gone on to do well and some fail and be released but their game is better than his. He's at the club cause Lambert brought him to the club.
Their is 4-5-6 keepers I can name who we have had at the club who are better than him and one of those is currently playing for the prats across the city. Another is smashing it for Dundee in Scotland. Steer is not good enough and it's time you start to actually realise this. If you want to attack me for saying this go ahead but I couldn't care. Steer isn't good enough. Rant over and Rob out.

1.) 12 Sep 2021 14:46:24
So are we scapegoating steer for Mings horror show of a performance?

29 Aug 2021 10:30:16
Curtis Jones from Liverpool for 15million I'm not his biggest fan but what do people think of him.

1.) 29 Aug 2021 12:45:21
He'd be an excellent addition to the squad, sadly zero chance of us getting him, and certainly not at 15M :- (.

2.) 29 Aug 2021 14:31:54
Good business I think but not what we need. Yesterday showed how much more effective Luiz is when he can get forward, we need to get in a proper defensive Mid and stop putting square pegs in round holes!

3.) 29 Aug 2021 17:23:00
Think while Smith is in charge we won't see an out and out holding midfielder deployed regularly - Yesterday was the biggest statement of that sadly, I don't agree with it and the reality is Smith will have to take responsibility for that decision if it dramatically impacts our season. I think this season could be Smith's last, not being negative but I just don't have a great feeling about this season and sadly the buck will stop with Smith. Yesterdays team selection was baffling (even with all our injuries) . We are a player or two away from having a very strong squad and when you see West Ham and our "competition" for Europe making some really good signings late in the window I can't help but think we've missed an opportunity, again.

4.) 29 Aug 2021 21:16:28
BK, we are on the same page, sadly i think we will both be proved right. We have some good quality but the team selection is not working. Watford and yesterday were both poor performances and Newcastle was a free hit. Expectations were high and in my opinion its just not there. So what happens next, we keep making excuses, injuries, C.V., players settling in, how long can we accept this. I don't think we have moved on and personally i don't think we will. Three games be patient i here fans saying, how long do we have to wait.

5.) 30 Aug 2021 09:15:04
Injuries isn’t an excuse, it’s a fact, Mings, Mcginn, Bailey, Traore, Ramsey, Watkins are all starters. If they aren’t available half the team picks itself, it’s as simple as that, we can’t magic players out of thin air.

I can’t see how the Brentford game can be the biggest statement that Smith won’t play a defensive midfielder, we have one at the club, he is no where near good enough. Every man and their dog knows we’re after one but we haven’t been able to sign one and the club doesn’t just go after any player anymore, if we can’t get one of our main choices we’ll wait until we can.

If he plays Nakamba he’ll be slated for sticking with someone who we knows not good enough, he doesn’t play him and he’s slated for not playing an out and out defensive mid, lose lose situation.

Scott you spent the whole of last season telling us how smith needs to give the youth players a chance, how good they are and how ready they, always finishing with your favourite statement “hopefully I’m wrong but sadly I don’t think I will be”, Chukky got his chance against Brentford and did sweet FA, let the occasion get to him and had no influence on the game. At what point do you gain some humility, look back at all the mental statements you make and realise quite often you are wrong and maybe you should think a little before you type, just of the top of my head on a lovely bank holiday morning:
The owners won’t keep smith past the summer they are serious about winning things (just after Christmas 2020)
Some BS about us being left with an expensive asset who no one wants to sign because Grealish doesn’t have any end product (early 2020/ 21 season) wonder what happened to him🤔
All our good work being undone and us being in a relegation battle by the end of the season, March 2021, we finished 11th😂.
Sanson, Mcginn, Traore all needing to be sold and being useless, after spending months telling everyone smith was ignoring obvious quality in Sanson and one of my personal favourites, had a problem with the French😂😂😂

Come on, surely at some point you stop hoping that your wrong, because you often are, and start hoping we win something, we’d probably end up doing the first quadruple!

27 Aug 2021 17:07:59
This is a major rant from me. I want to say well done to all the teams who wanted to be in the European Super League you have got all your league hierarchy to bow down to you and cause this major crazy transfer window. All the leagues should have done the correct thing and thrown you out. You tried to ruin football by creating this major league and now your being allowed to go and throw money out like it's nothing. You all should have been given transfer bans and you still be as strong as other teams. But no given your own way and go Oh let's go and sign this player or that player cause they are the best at their team. The leagues aren't going to become none competitive. We have to spend 95 million to try and make a European spot. Yet you can throw 97.5 million plus to sign one player the football world has bowed down to you all. I hope you get your damn super league now and all fail you bunch of CUN Tuesdays.

Rant Over
Rob Out.

15 Aug 2021 10:37:17
So I have taken my time into posting about the game yesterday, after seeing some comments some people need to sit and relax for a little bit, quick to hammer players yet with the disruptive pre season we have had, yesterday wasn't great yes but with players having come back from
Injuries and not getting the full game time they required they will be rusty. Some players haven't trained fully wit the squad and still adapting. Next week will be a different team. I think we missed Ollie yesterday with his ability to stretch defences. I feel Bert Emi and Leon will be attacking threat with Ollie as the main CF. Dougie is back next week too so I'm feel he will come in alongside McGinn and hopefully we get the CDM we need but for the first game yes it's a loss but next week we will totally different.

1.) 15 Aug 2021 10:58:57
If someone has a bad game it’s completely fine to say so, whether there are reasons for that bad game or not.

2.) 15 Aug 2021 11:17:08
It’s entirely reasonable to air concerns or frustrations about a poor performance. I think everyone on here wants to see a good performance with the positive result that should follow. Yesterday was poor, particularly the 1st half, hence Delano’s alleged rollicking at half time.
The next few games will be important in setting out where we are heading this season. Let’s hope for more energy next weekend and with a packed VP behind the lads from the start we should get what we all want, a good performance and a win.

3.) 15 Aug 2021 11:31:54
Not saying people can’t say players can’t have a bad game chris what I’m saying is we haven’t had a full pre season we haven’t had full amount of players training and some players are coming back to fitness and people want to hammer them. Look at the reasons why players are right don’t just hammer. This week and next week will be the main games to start getting things right.

4.) 15 Aug 2021 12:18:55
I know what you mean Rob, but you can do both at the same time, most of them were rubbish, probably down to preseason etc, but they were still rubbish.

5.) 15 Aug 2021 12:37:23
Sometimes a poor start, a humiliating defeat to an inferior team can be the catalyst, a wake up call for improvement. Hopefully that is the worst we will be this season. Let’s face it, if it isn’t heads will roll, because with the squad we have now, we should expect much much better than that.
Pre- season preparations didn’t go to plan, and weren’t ideal and I think we should therefore give consideration to that. I am expecting a lot better next time out against Newcastle, let’s keep the faith lads. SHEGFY.

6.) 15 Aug 2021 13:03:26
The performance was poor and no one really came out of it with any credit however the one thing it highlighted for me is we really do need a quality defensive midfielder Watford played through our midfield far too easily and sadly Nakamba just isn’t good enough at this level. If Everton want him let’s get what we can for him, the same with Hourihane, Wesley and El ghazi and if we have to spend £40 or £50 million for Bissouma then let’s do it.

7.) 15 Aug 2021 14:55:00
I agree John but only sell if we have the deal wrapped up.

8.) 15 Aug 2021 15:04:47
The performance was terrible Rob, whatever the reasons, I think it's perfectly fine to call that out - I agree that we have had a disrupted preseason but yesterday was a combination of inexplicable managerial decisions and poor performances 1 to 11. What it did highlight is the need for a top drawer holding midfielder, that is an absolute must for Villa and if we go into the season without one we will really struggle - Bissoma is the dream signing for me. Also, does anybody see Konsa playing a bit more at RB? Cash has been under par for a while now.

Konsa, Tuanzebe, Mings, Targett

McGinn, Bissoma

Bailey, Ings, Watkins.

9.) 15 Aug 2021 15:24:59
BK first of all I didn’t say rubbish about the performance not being terrible. I said don’t call players out on a bad performance when they haven’t had a complete pre season. I haven’t got a problem with call out a player if they been rubbish for week but one game and we want to call them out okay so I will call out every player next week for every mistake he makes. I will do that all season and see how many people want to give their opinion against me. As for your team there with konsa at rb no he’s the best centre back at the club. Yes we need a holding midfielder everyone know that and we are trying to sort that issue but atm we do with what we have. People also think nakamba will start next week luiz will be back in there next week unless we get someone in before then.

10.) 15 Aug 2021 15:50:11
Rob, maybe I missed it but I didn't see anybody calling players out on JUST yesterday's performance? I don't anybody is pushing the panic button but I think we can all admit that there are still long running issues within the squad. For me Smith still doesn't have a clear vision of how he wants us to play, or perhaps he does and we don't have the players, either way that needs to be addressed. We are lacking a HMF, everybody is aware of this. But bar a few comments against Cash, who hasn't been great since he returned from injury I haven't seen many on this site throw their toys out of the pram based on a one off game. Maybe I missed it.

06 Aug 2021 11:07:06
Buendia has taken the number 10 shirt and Ings has taken the 20 shirt.

Villajohn I have seen this and if you have a look at what I have posted the reports seem to be wrong if jack was in Manchester why was he at training this morning something smells fishy and I don’t mean the tuna sandwich I’m about to eat. Also with everything Johan Lange has done I can’t see him settling for a deal like that.

Totally agree moose. Chelsea are offering him a new contract that is for next season but that will be only to make sure they don’t lose him for free, but I agree with BK bring him in now pay the money next season and smash the rest on JWP. This side is going places and these players would definitely help take us there. I personally think until JG got injured last season we would already have European footy but with the squad we are getting together. Add Tammy and JWP and axel into it squad depth very strong and could truly challenge for a trophy. BK Man U are doing the same with Axel as Chelsea are with Tammy get the extension so don’t lose him for free but if they are willing to take around 8 million plus add ons to make it to say 10/ 14 mill then also get that done now too.

{Ed002's Note - TA is not out of contract next season.}

Walk it’s a loan we are apparently looking at for Tammy. Which I think makes sense as we are meant to be letting Wesley go either sale or loan and with Davis injured we are going to need the striker. Plus it will challenge both of them to prove they want to be the main forward.

Also chris I remind of you a game last season against Arsenal away exactly same situation as Mings and steer yesterday it was McGinn under hit a pass to emi and partey latched on to it and by the time partey looked up emi was on top of him making the save but yeah all world class keepers concede that goal 10 times out of 10 do me a favour give your head a wobble and go watch good and world class keepers and take your head out of steers arse.

Chris the back pass from Ming seas under hit yes but if you notice what steer does he goes to the ball the goes back then stops and gets caught in no mans land.
My point about the save was rule number 1 as a keeper get your body behind the ball. Yeah I do have a strong opinion against him your right he’s not good enough to be our back up that’s my point.
You keep praising him for helping us get up. Well done him have a look at the 14 goals we conceded in the games he played in and 7’of them he is a fault for. During those 14 games he had 30 shots against him 14 goals conceded he was facing a minimum of 3 shots a game so don’t try say isn’t something personal cause I’m stating the ducking faults he has and thst he’s not good enough so don’t try giving me rubbish and do everyone a favour and take the he got us up rose tinted glasses off and look at him properly. He’s simply not good enough but you think he is okay let’s see next week when he most likely play against Chelsea and see how many errors he makes.

Also chris here you go here’s the rating for him maybe take a read and take note.

Jed Steer: 5/ 10
When tasked with the responsibility of filling the influential boots of the isolating Argentinian. Emi Martínez. it seemed the Englishman between the sticks lacked conviction. It started off poorly as he was slow off his line to thwart Romelu Lukaku from sliding the ball under him to open the scoring, before being caught on his heels from an undercut pass from captain Tyrone Mings. There is some more trying to find them and show you the rest.

Chris he should have saved the first one he should have also done better for the second. The third he dives after the balls into the net. He also flapped in the first half and nearly cost us a goal. Commanding of the area not there. Decided to come for a ball he didn’t need to also stayed at home when Chelsea cleared the ball and allowed it to come all the way back into box when he could have come forward to played the ball earlier. Zyeki shot he catches the ball to the side of his head if thst slips through his hands it’s the net. His ability to pass the ball well I’ve seen 3 year olds pass the ball with more power. When balls comes to him to pass the ball wide he kicks across himself technically shocking. Please don’t make me continue the man is a useless donkey and needs to be gone. And a mayor factor is the defence don’t trust him. You have your opinion on him that’s your thing mine personally he’s one of the worst keepers I’ve ever seen in a villa shirt. And before you bring up the rubbish bout him getting us up again and did we rubbish on him no we didn’t he’s not good enough end of story. Also and a major thing here sinislo the youngster would be higher up the keeper order if he didn’t get injured last season while on loan. Steer is still at the club on 2 factors sinislo is young and lacking bit of experience and cause Heaton went. He will be replaced and I will be jumping for joy and if you want to attack me for saying that go ahead cause i stick to my guns he’s a rubbish donkey and needs to be gone.

Villa4eva we play with that intensity against another other sides apart from Liverpool and Man City and maybe Man U we will easily compete and would win I thought we was outstanding apart from steer the pile of donkey turd needs to take his bag and leave.
