Anyone watching match of the day tonight, should make the most of it, next week we will see a self serving, smug arrogant, i'm bigger than the BBC in front of the cameras. Its just a pity he got the attention he set out to get, which in my opinion is totally undeserved. There will be no stopping him in the future, mores the pity.

Everyone is entitled to there opinions including Lineker, we might not agree with them but he expressed them on his personal Twitter account I see no difference to what he has done to what we all do on here. In terms of being self serving smug and arrogant I would use those terms to describe the likes of Renaldo and Alex Ferguson not Lineker, if he was as you describe Scotty I can’t see all the other presenters coming out in support.of him.

I watch motd. Don't think Lineker is arrogant. He's the one that got suspended he didn't refuse to do his job.

Viewing figures for MOtd shows that it was watched by half a million more viewers than usual.
Perhaps some evidence that an overpaid presenter is not as popular as he/one thinks.
However that goes for many of the sport presenters
