" Man Utd lining up 'blockbuster Emiliano Martinez offer' in goalkeeper department overhaul" - Mathew Cooper for The Mirror.

Now I'm a bit sceptical as the article centres around United getting rid of both Romero and De Gea, but that would mean finding someone who wants them.

BUT, how much would be a good price for Martinez? It's tough with keepers but he's been one of our best players and one of the best keepers in the league this season, surely 50 million plus? Sounds ridiculous saying that but it would cost similar to replace him with a similar level.

Hopefully there’s no truth in this rumour, but yes 50 million would sound a reasonable fee for Emi, and at least we’ve got a very capable replacement in Tom Heaton.

I wouldn’t sell him for £80m the points he has single handedly got us this season is priceless.

I think you'll find he's used both hands and his feet 😁 but yes he's priceless to us, signing of the season 👍.

Reflecting on our clean sheets would put him in the top 1 of international keepers.
Without Martinez our points would likely be 8 or 9 less.
He has been the strong player in the defence without doubt.
If MU want him then its hard ball time. let's talk £100m and see what they say.
£50m is pocket money to them so we have to take them out of their comfort zone.
If papers are to be believed it is reported that they want Martinez, Mings, McGinn, Grealish and the tea lady.
Hopefully NSWE will politely tell them where to go as our players are still in contract for at least a couple of years.
Smith has to buy and buy big this summer to maintain our growth. We have moved forward this season and all our players have played a part in this movement.
Additions are needed but they must be superior to what we have already. Then and only then can we allow the lesser performers to depart.

Oldvillain I agree we need to be looking for better than we have. In that respect what about aguero. Out of contract this summer. That's the standard we should be looking at.

Old villain I agree mate, look what Chelsea paid for kepa, how much would city want for ederson I’d say at least 100 million, if Martinez had only faced the same amount of shots that ederson has this season I dare say he would be top of the clean sheet list, I wouldn’t sell him if I’m honest, and if I had to sell him to united I’d want 100 million plus Romero or 70 million plus Romero and Danny v derbek or how ever u spell it, they don’t play him enough I think he’ll definitely go in the summer and I rate him quiet a bit I think a team of our standing would suit him better than a team of superstars he would shine playing for us, I’d spend the 70 million then on Abraham, pereira and Henry.
