Again VAR has stepped up to give a penalty that was a free kick.
To be controversial.
I don't gamble on anything but if someone who is a VAR reviewer has a small wager it could alter their overall opinion.
So come season end before winners and losers are announced perhaps every VAR decision should be reviewed for a final time.
Then if the second review changes the decision of the first, the the second review overrules the first then the new review either awards or removes points and goals to create the final season position.
Already different groups are working out points lost through VAR but not points gained.
EXAMPLE
Team A loses to team B by a single goal from an incorrect VAR decision
However team A had a pen claim earlier in the game turned down on an incorrect VAR decision.
The final review would alter the points from the game.
Team B now get nil points and team A get 3 points.
This is a change of 6 points in the league.
WOW. Too many VAR wrongly given pens etc given to team B could see them lose a lot of points and go from Euro place to relegation.

That would just drag decisions out even further. Let's get back to instant referee decisions, like when football used to be great. You know, only a couple of years ago!

In the example you can’t assume teamA would have scored the penalty had it been awarded ToV.
