There have been a few new posters on here in the last couple of weeks, which is really great.
I would like to carry out a simple poll, and find out the general consensus of how many would sell Jack Grealish and realistically for how much.
I am a yes, and hope for £40 mil+.

Thank you Ed.

I think it's inevitable that Grealish will leave now Dave, once relegation is confirmed I expect his departure to follow shortly afterwards. In terms of price, personally I'd be disappointed to lose him for less than 50M, especially to Manchester United who has a license to print money. Wouldn't be surprised to see Tuanzebe come as part exchange, him and Konsa would be a formidable partnership I think.

Yeah I am sure your right BK, and Tuanzebe would be a good signing for us, as I think Mings will be moving as well.
I have said before mate, I honestly think we will be a better side after all of this.
Hope you have voted.

Before the virus, football was awash with money and Jack was playing well in a struggling team but you could see he was worth the quoted £80m. Since the restart, he's not played very well and clubs will not be willing to spend big money as they've had no income and are having to service other debts. If we get £30m for him, I'd take it.

17 Jul 2020 20:48:40
You could be right RHLT, I hope not.
£30m would be a shame for us as a club, having once been valued at more than twice that figure.

17 Jul 2020 20:51:01
I think in a Window where Sancho may go for 100M we should expect at least half of that for Grealish mate. I totally agree though, I think the Market will be completely different post the virus and that's why I'm quietly confident of keeping most of the squad together. I'd be very surprised if there is a fire sale.

We have the advantage that we haven't over inflated Jack's wages so can continue to afford them. Unlike others I don't think he'd dare underperforming if we turned down offers.
Jack hasn't lost form so much as being semi injured and being crowded out with us trying to play everything through him.
For me, I would take £40-50mill and tuanzebe or £60-70mill cash. City are also interested but don't have anyone worth swapping who would drop down.
Owner wealth and ffp hiatus means we have a free roll to get back up. If we don't get asking prices and players won't do a hoojdonk then don't sell.

17 Jul 2020 22:09:35
rknewell, the relaxation of FFP does not give the owners opportunity to spend whatever they want. The FFP are merely suspended so the rather than a 3 year cycle, its a 5 year cycle to clear the outstanding debt.

I didn't suggest doing a City. I said keeping Jack on his £40-50k a week won't hurt us. It's already been said that the current season will be disregarded and not reviewed. We will obviously lose several high earners who don't want to stay but even though Jack wants to play at the top level he also won't play like he doesn't want to be here. If anyone tries to lowball us at less than £50mill we should tell them to stuff it.

Grealish will sign for Wolves. It’s a no brainier. Midlands lad with a lot to learn. Would love to play for the best club in the Midlands who he looks up to and admires.

17 Jul 2020 22:57:30
I think we will try to sell Grealish and I think we would have done so irrespective of whether or not we were relegated I hope however that we don’t let whoever wants to buy him bully us we should set a price and not collapse because of the virus if he was worth £70 to £80 million 4 months ago he is certainly worth more than £30 million now. I think the interesting issue now will be where he ends up. Now I know the Ed has a different view but it looks likely that Pogba is going to sign a contract extension I can’t see where Jack fits in as a regular with Fernandes and Pogba playing in the centre with Rashford playing wide left and hows being a squad player at United going to help his England ambitions? Of the top sides the only two where I think Jack would be a regular is Spurs and Arsenal and neither of those have sufficient funds I believe so whilst I think if we get the chance we will sell I am not sure we will have any takers at what I consider a fair price.

I think, if he signs for United, he would be deployed on the left - Does be play ahead of Rashford though? Hard to know. Maybe City might come in for him, I think he suits there style and set up better than United and at the 50M mark they might be tempted? Pep is a fan. I've also a sneaky feeling Chelsea may come into play, they are after Havertez and wouldn't be surprised if Jack is Plan B.

Myself personally feel that selling Grealish could be the making of us. Don't get me wrong he's a talent but we constantly bemoan we're a 1 man team and that can't be good for the collective.
If you're a player with ambition realising that everything revolves around 1 person could be detrimental to the whole. We need to be more of a team rather than 1 or 2 talented individuals. If and when he leaves players could step up, we've already seen it with Luiz and who's to say more wouldn't do the same?
Invest the money wisely to improving the squad then teams won't have just 1 player they have to nullify to get a result but rather 4-5-6 players who keep the opposition on their toes.
It may seem like the end of the world to lose our most talented individual but it could prove to be a blessing in disguise and cause a change of thinking from" give it to Jack " mentality which may just be holding the team back.

Does anyone actually trust giving Suso parachute payments, plus what a potential 100 million plus from player sales?

18 Jul 2020 12:17:13
I think jack needs the fans in the ground, forget the comeback games,80.000000 is the price, jack, luiz mcgin are the only footballers at villa, we should not sell our best players, i think the owners would agree.

Not as good as he thinks he is and the way transfer fees are going atm don't expect anything like the daft money people are saying
Gotta say aswell that the dive in the last game was cringeworthy. How can you dive the opposite way to the way your going!
Embarrassing.
