Dave and most of that was O'Hare's terrible miss. I really thought he would shine at Coventry yet he only seems to get limited bench time in league 1,he certainly doesn't look like a future prospect.

26 Jan 2020 12:39:16
Are you serious Scotty, I would wash whatever is distorting your vision out of your eyes mate.
He is a very good prospect, well balanced, has an eye for the odd goal, and can see a pass, and can put himself about a bit.
I am sure with the proper care in his coaching, I have no doubt he will become a very good player, and I would certainly keep him with a view of first team introduction next season.
You are becoming very negative about most things concerning our club mate.

26 Jan 2020 13:10:50
Totally agree Dave. Coventry have largely been using him as a super sub and he's been igniting the team every time he comes on by all accounts. I get the impression Coventry would love to have him on a permanent basis, this must not happen. You can guarantee that he would more than thrive at Coventry if that were to happen. Too often in the past have we let our better youngsters go and they've excelled after. Much better to produce our own players than continually shelling out for players that are
disappointing. There's also less risk of falling foul of FFP.
Callum is still only 21 and could still develop into an outstanding player.

26 Jan 2020 13:36:44
Hi Mark, Like you mate, I am sure Coventry would love him.
That would be a definite no no for me.
Barry Bannan springs to mind, became a well established player when given the opportunity to play his role.
Singing off the same hymn sheet Mark.

Daniel Johnson and Callum Robinson, are 2 more, virtually given away.

26 Jan 2020 15:41:14
And abrighton aswell and wiemann all good players and bck to O'Hare he's a good young talent if jck goes if we go dwn which I don't think we will O'Hare could replace jck he plays similar to jck.

Dave unlike a few of you I don't have claret and blue goggles. I tell it how I see it, I have a couple of Coventry city season ticket holders mates. They say he is a good player with limitations and doubt very much if he will be a regular in the premier league. Nothing wrong with honest observations.

I am disappointed with many things at Villa park over the years and both on here and socially a challenging voice does no harm. So I genuinely admire the loyal optimism of fans like you, however I think it's only right to have alternative views even if it's not what some want to hear. I have gone on record and been criticised in the past, identifying players that I don't think are good enough and in the main have a good record in my observations. So I hope the future is as positive as many of us wish, however history is not as positive.

26 Jan 2020 20:02:15
You have said this before about the claret and blue goggles, that is a nonsense mate, I have always said things as I see them.
I did most of my complaining under Paul Lambert, he had 3 years.
A statistic you might be aware of is that we have had 15 Managers in just over 9 years, we need some stability.
My complaints are vented when everything has been exhausted, and when chances have been given.

I am not complaining about your opinion Scotty, I am simply arguing a different view, you can say what you want mate, I just don't complain about everything that goes on at Villa park.
And your mates have their opinion also.
I think if you ask your mates, they would rather have O'Hare than not.

26 Jan 2020 20:47:25
Dave I have been with my Coventry mates this afternoon, 100% of them have have said they would want O'Hare, however they said they are a league one side and if they were an aspiring premier league side they doubt if they would be as positive. That's all I have alluded to, football is a game of opinions and long may it continue.

26 Jan 2020 21:14:20
This is a banter site after all Scotty and yes if we all thought the same what would be the point of posting anything.
However I would imagine that anybody associated with Coventry football club is not going to want the Villa board thinking O'hare is really cutting it, if at the end of the day they want to keep him.

27 Jan 2020 07:28:57
He's looked out of place for us in the past. Similar to Vasilev now, there's a lot of running and the odd nice thing but savvier opponents stop him doing what he's good at.

Like the majority of previous youngsters mentioned above he'll probably go on to be great for a Championship side or possibly a Premier League bench warmer.
We are consistent at producing the nearly but not quite, Suliman should have been joining Jack as a first teamer but his improvement stalled dramatically.

27 Jan 2020 12:38:03
Let's hope Mark Harrison can make a difference then rk .
It would be interesting to hear his views on O'hare. My personal opinion is he's talented, still young and that we should remain patient and not give up on him. It's just that I'm fed up with us having an academy that other clubs seem to benefit from more than we do. We buy players for inflated prices, they often disappoint, and I just wonder if some of the youngsters we've released could have have done as well, if not better.

27 Jan 2020 14:26:06
Disagree rk, Vassilev has not even run the length of the pitch yet and already he is not good enough.
You say players with more know how will stop him doing what he is good at, Hmmmm, that applies to anyone does it not.
If you apply yourself you can nullify any player, but at some point in their development they become more savvy themselves, surely.
Its that time thing again, give them time, and experience to learn.
