Well it looks like top 4 is going to stay the same in my opinion, city, lpool, arsenal, chelsea,
All way stronger now with there new signings, even ncastle with elanga
It looks like we will be fighting for 5th to 7th in my opinion orless we sign some big name players can't see it thou with the fine we got and psr

Top 8 won’t even be a given this season, everyone will bring in players, some will work out others won’t, we have seen all these clubs spend all this money before to no avail, the likes of spurs and united will have to improve this season surely. I don’t think we should be panicking to buy players, I’m sure there is a plan there to strengthen the squad, I’ll be happy with no big sales, buy 2 players, try get 2 good players in on loans and get rid of some fringe players. I hope NSWE have patience and stick around long enough to see the whole project through, it’s going to take a few years to be able to compete consistently for champions league.

I agree re 2 signings and 2 loans are realistic in terms of incomings but given our salary position we are not going to get away without selling one or maybe two of the biggest earners given the rumours that have been swirling around I think it’s likely to be Martinez and Digne.

Don’t forget the likes of Bailey, Buendia, dendonker etc. enzo and illing jr will either be sold or will be new additions to the squad. it’s hard to call who will be sold from first team but your probably right about losing at least one anyways.

Agree neb, the youngsters are getting better but still not there yet.
KKH had to go, plenty of loans without any of the teams trying too hard to keep hold of him suggests he's not top level.
Barry is injury prone and a bit lightweight for Premier League.

If you're going to have a whole rant every time a club overpays for a player, just because we aren't as desperate, you're going to be extra annoying.
If we get to August without any news then fair enough but Spurs signing average players for big money without addressing their defense is of no worry to me.

Kudus would probably get in ahead of JJ but he's not worth £55m. Rashford is better and was cheaper, there are definitely cheaper options out there who are just as good, if not better.
I don't get the MGW love in, he's a hard worker but regularly goes missing in big games when he either isn't given easy space or a lot of the ball. £60m is better spent elsewhere.
Clubs signing players doesn't put them ahead of us.
United won't change over 1 summer, they need a complete overhaul.
Frank is unproven at clubs expected to win and, although not as bad as Ange, will still expect the crocks to run more than they can handle.
Everton have had huge amounts of investment and they are still rubbish. New stadium and owners mean nothing, Moyes already failed with money at West Ham despite Conference League, he can't rely on the likes of Cahill and Fellaini these days.

Our financial circumstances are leaving us fighting with one arm tied behind our back and if people aren't seeing this they are extremely naive.

You're both jumping to conclusions before anything has happened, believing amateur bloggers doesn't mean you see things others dont.
Everyone knows we won't be spending £200m on 3-4 players but we haven't been doing that before either.
It will be a normal window, we'll sign the right players at the right prices and allow 1 or 2 to go if we get the right offers.
No matter what we do in a season you want us to sign "at least" 6 players. It'll never happen and for good reason. We have a decent squad which can be competitive towards the top end. Monchi and Unai will tweak over the coming weeks, have some patience for crying out loud.

Just to address RK point regarding Moyes. Since Moyes took charge of Everton last season they finished 9th in the league table, level points with Everton and only 3 less points than ourselves in that time. i'm not saying Everton are going to finish above us etc but to dismiss a very crude manager in Moyes who's won a recent European trophy and increased Evertons attacking output and goals by double is a bit short sighted. You mock with the Fellaini comment but he took the likes of Fellaini who became a massive threat in the prem, a regular in a very good Belgium team and got a move to utd off the back of being managed by Moyes.

Dan, that's the new manager bounce. Doubling goal output sounds grandiose when it was practically zero before.
His West Ham record wasn't great when you dig deeper. The early flurry had them in Champions League slots before falling away.
Their Conference League had a lot of scrappy 1-0 wins and came at a massive cost in the league.
Fellaini at Everton was ok, but that was at a time when you could still just about get away with Moyes tactics regularly. Moyes will likely keep them closer to mid table but no chance of Europe with that squad.
Jonny, yes there are players available for £20-30m, they take time to negotiate though.
Pretty much everyone signed so far in this window has been at a premium, even the £20-30m signings are overpriced.
We don't want to overpay so I'm happy for us to not act desperate and rush into signings.
