It who to keep Courtino who have to Ditch seven players at least and bring in players who can pass the ball forward at a higher tempo than today which was passive for the most time

Absolutely, if Coutinho does sign permanently then we need to find a way to ensure be is effective in every game - His fitness and conditioning is clearly not 100% yet, he will be much better with a pre-season under his belt. I think we will sign 2 Midfielders as well, players who can win and keep the ball more effectively.

Definitely need to be a more possessive team to get the best out of Phil. He thrives in a team that has a lot of the ball and at the moment that isn’t us. Rewatching yesterdays game and focussing on him a bit more I noticed he didn’t actually play that badly, just a lot of his movement and flicks weren’t picked up by those around him.
I would like to see Buendia alongside him a lot more often for starters, not sure why they can’t play together?

The biggest reason we didn’t have a ton of possession yesterday was him constantly giving it away, his passing was awful, second week running that we improved when Buendia came on instead of him, I think Buendia deserves to start the next game.

I agree whack. Don't think we can afford to spend £30m on him when Buendia is more all action. He might not be quite as good technically as Coutinho but he makes up for it with effort and he will get better.

Don’t get me wrong I like couthinho but like you I’m not sure he’s worth the big fee and huge wages, if we buy 2 midfielders we would have emi and maginn to play that CAM role, I think we need to spend in other positions instead.
