If as disappointingly is being suggested Boregate leaves Jack on the bench the next game, when and if he comes on it will mean we are in trouble. The man will keep his job no matter how we fare in the competition which is a sad indictment on our ambition to compete with the best in the next world cup, we should be aspiring to play attractive attacking football with some if the exceptional young talent we have.
Back to the German game, Rice and Philips can't play together and apart for the opening game both have been bang average but there is absolutely no suggestion that their places are in jeopardy which sums Boregate up, the man is clueless.

There’s talk of him playing Henderson as well as Rice and Phillips for the knockout stages. Isn’t attack supposed to be the best form of defense? It’s criminal that all this outstanding talent we have is being wasted. If we had bang average attacking midfielders and strikers, I could reluctantly accept his approach, but surely we should play to our strengths and use this wealth of talent that’s available.
If by some miracle England do win this tournament, they will be remembered as being the most boring side ever to have done so. It would go down in the history books, but I very much doubt that it would be fondly remembered by anybody, except of course one person. 🤔.

Mark based on Boregates tactical nouse so far, even a miracle won't help us.
He is using the press at the moment to prepare us for an ultra defensive set up, so we pretty much know what's coming. Like many have already said it is difficult to watch and not enjoyable at all, if winning games means this style of football to the exclusion of flair and attacking football count me out. I'm bitterly disappointed as i was really looking forward to this festival of football.

At this time its not just Villa fans rooting for Jack its the majority of knowledgeable football fans, pundits and coaches alike, pity we are all probably going to be sold short.
