As others have already said, we need new system. We always appear better with Marvellous sitting in front of Konsa and Mings . Davis appears to have a lot of doubters, but give him a run and see. Play him in a front Three, with Ollie and Jack . There is know argument, he certainly holds the ball up, he's as strong as a bull and gives CHs tough time . Give him a run of a few games, until Big Wes fit enough . The movement of Ollie and Jack, would give most teams a problem .

Daved, I agree with giving Davis a start, we can't do any worse that the garbage currently being served up. There is every chance it won't work but give it a go. I somehow think Deano will rely on Jack's return to sort us out, this in my opinion may improve things however this will just "paper over the cracks".
A question to those loyal to the cause, what will it take for you to accept things are beyond acceptable and change is necessary. let's remember this is three seasons (part in season 1 accepted) where the managers tactics and team selection have come under scrutiny, its a pattern some of us think will continue.

First 6 months promotion from the championship from 16th place
First full season in charge Premier League survival, League cup final
Second full season in charge top half premier league finish (potentially)
Scrutinise that.

Precisely Daz, if those 2 guys hadn’t stepped in when they did, God only knows where we would be now. Most probably in an even worse predicament than our bluenose neighbours, and we should therefore respect their decision making to the hilt. They are both extremely successful people and they haven’t achieved that due to poor decision making. If there choice is to keep faith in Deano, then I for one will respect that 100%, and support the manager and his team all the way.

If you look at the squads of all the teams around us, Arsenal, Spurs, Everton, for example they have clearly got greater strength in depth. I have felt at times that Deano could have rotated his players more, however it has to be said that his options have been limited somewhat.
The levels of performance dropped off following the CV outbreak, and that was before Jack’s absence. It’s highly likely the after effects of the C.V. has had an energy sapping effect on the players. I have read accounts from people feeling tired for several weeks after recovering from the symptoms of CV. So that coupled with the congested fixture list when they resumed playing, and the fact that we have an inferior squad to the teams in the top half of the table, almost certainly explains this dip in performance levels.
When we have a squad of players on a par with all the teams above us in the league, only then surely can we expect to finish above any of them.
Circumstances have taken their toll on us, hopefully with quality recruitment in the Summer, and no more CV outbreaks, we will be more of a force to be reckoned with next time around.

Hit the nail on the head mark.
Smith said in his interview the other day that the remit first season in the premier was survival, second season was to improve the first team and third was to further improve the first and overall depth for rotation etc. - someone implied this was Smith sounding scared, they’ve ridiculously misjudged his comments or made a strange attempt at twisting them.
