It wouldn't be Friday if the Milot Rashica saga didn't raise its head again! Now having agreed the fee with Bremen which in fairness I thought we had weeks ago Rashica wants between £75 and £80k a week. I don't know why we are persevering with this deal we should just say thanks but no thanks and move on to other targets that kind of salary for an unproven premier league player is nonsense he wants what Jack was on last year and we don't know if he can cut it in the league yet!

It’s a tough 1 as he’s the 1 we really want, if we really wanted Benrahma he’d of been signed weeks ago, my counter to Raschica’s wage demands would be to put a buy out clause of double his fee + his 4/ 5 year wages on top which by my maths be £55M, would love to see him at Villa, £80K a week is better than more than double that for a Man Citeh bench warmer or similar 🤷ðŸ¼â€â™‚ï¸

Sorry John, Jack wasn`t on 75k last year, more like Half that 35k.
Tom Heaton was top earner on about 42-45k.

Dave, I googled Jack’s salary details it said he had signed a 5 year deal worth £135 k a week an increase of £55k on his previous deal which is where I got the £80k from in my post but I accept that might be usual press bs but in any case if it was £35k are we really saying Rashica is twice the player Jack is? At the moment I don’t think so.

The players wages argument is always just pie in the sky, because no one knows how much they are on. It’s confidential and you would imagine the players don’t even know what each other are on. Anything that comes up on google should be taken as a pinch of salt, one website was recently outed as using the latest video game wages as players actual wages😂. So unless the source is a player literally saying “I’m on X amount†nothing is reliable.
With that said Grealish signed a new deal last summer which at the time they spoke about his pay reflecting his quality, and some other stuff about premier league salary, so you’d imagine he was on close to 50k. This new deal probably takes him a lot closer to six figures, I’d guess 85k.
If Rashica is on around 35k at Werner Bremen, which when you look at his history, when he’s signed deals etc you’d imagine is probably in the right ball park, surely you’d put a limit on it and say right 50k, it’s a big increase, the club will probably be paying his relocation cost, his housing (I know they did this for Benteke for a while) for maybe the first year. If he starts demanding more and more it shows what he’s coming for.
Remember though this story is again coming from non of the reputable sources that have got things right for us so far this summer, probably just trying to explain the reason we haven’t signed him yet. If he signs he signs, for all we know we could be onto new targets by now.

No possible way that website gets that sort of information. Complete speculation and looking at it, it’s not even educated guesses, just simply guesses.
Compare the figures they have given for players like Hourihane, cross reference them with the articles people like Percy (the usual accurate sources) put out when we achieved promotion, to do with the wage increases in certain players contracts and it highlights just how far off that site is. Another good way to check is add up the wage bill that site calculates to and then cross reference with Swiss ramble look into our finances, that’s based on facts (annual figures etc) and it shows that site is miles off.
Final check, search the author, nothing on any socials, linked in or any such site, probably a made up name just to get something of that level out there, in order for clicks.

Apparently a lot of ex coppers become private investigators Chris, I suppose it’s a natural progression.
