Guys, anyone calling for Gerrard's head is mad he needs to be given time and in my opinion lots of it, he is trying to instil a different way of playing and that's going to take time as well as money, so for me if the style of football is better and we are moving in the right direction then that will do for me. We are attracting better quality players, we are starting to see some of the kids progressing either through the loans system or by making first team squads. Our academy system is attracting some of the most talented kids in the UK and beyond so overall we have a lot more to be positive over than not. But given the investment the likes of City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Spurs and Arsenal have made, not to mention the likes of Utd who have as usual money to burn, then whilst I would love us to be pushing for a top 6 position realistically I think that's unlikely top 10 is more probable. Let's get behind Gerrard and not place unrealistic expectations on him and the team.

100% this ? Absolutely crazy that some are already calling for him to be removed as manager.

Think that question only becomes relevant this season Buck, he came in mid season and inherited a very unbalanced Smith side so I would tend to cut him some slack on last season's performances - Gerrard will have a very expensively assembled and talented squad come September 1st, he'll have 2 transfer windows to build a squad in his image so that excuse goes out the window now. It's time to deliver, 100%, but we need to give him time to deliver.

I’m not sure I’ve actually seen anyone calling for Gerard’s head on a plate in the threads above. Constructive criticism seems fair under the circumstances, but I don’t think I’ve yet seen a concerted ‘Gerard Out’ campaign launched. However, he may well launch one himself if we lose to Everton ?
