Thought last night was like watching a dripping tap.
You knew what would happen but not when.
Vert little imagination from England
or from Jack. It looked as though some players did not want to make a pass to him but he was able to make his way into the game.
Mings does disappoint on occasions when he gets the ball on his "wrong foot" he sends the ball backwards.
I would like to see him use his right foot sometimes.
Southgate true to form took Jack off on 60 mins. Obvious he has a man crush on Mount!
Jack will need to take control in the middle and score a hat trick to impresss the walking waistcoat.
Overall the performance was adequate but needed someone to change the game.
However that some one was taken off.
C'mon Southgate, most people, media and supporters and experts believe Grealish should be on the pitcn fpr 90 mins not on the bench.
Could it be that Jack is seen as a bigger character than the manager?

Like I said yesterday Oldvillan, these games are useless and serve no purpose, players and Managers complain the season is too long anyway, plus injury is always a possibility.

Listening to some of his after match comments I think Southgate may have taken Jack off because he will start him against Belgium on Sunday.

Dave, you and I agree with most points about football and this is no different.
I try to think what good these games do but fail to come up with a positive thought.
Is it to satisfy fans both far and near who want national pride or could it be money?
But at present there is no money about.
At home we still need the pitch leader. Jack is the idol, Mingsy the figure head but neither control on the pitch.
Keano, Bremner, McKay and many others took control and they were all hard men. Most strong teams throughout the world have a ruthless player who hands out pain either fairly or otherwise.
We have some nice guys!

Another good post Oldvillan, and again I am with you 100% mate.
I really don`t` know where the leader we crave will come from, we certainly don`t have him yet.
And the characters you have mentioned have no equals in the so called modern game, blimey we do miss them.

Boots have been taken away from me by home enforcer. Tells me that my knees would struggle.
Mine like yours, no doubt, would be fit for the job. No place to hide, not even the shed.
