As Jose would undoubtedly say ' one Gary Southgate, there's only one Gary Southgate'. What a numpty. Probably a Boro legend, but not for me. Git.

England have world class players but to win World cups, Euros etc., the manager also needs to be world class, Southgate doesn’t even come close.
It’s a pity Jack has so much desire to play for Southgate’s circus because Jack knows, we know, everybody except Southgate knows, he should be in that team and this could effect him mentally and in turn effect his game in a negative way. Let’s hope it doesn’t.
What I would say to Jack is focus on playing for Villa, where your talents are 100% recognized and appreciated, and if England do eventually get a world class manager, I’m sure you will get your just rewards.

Sorry Mark, I wasn`t going to respond but please.
If Grealish is affected mentally through not being picked for England he is in the wrong job mate.
Why does everyday life, and everyday disappointments, become a mental health problem all of a sudden, its seems to be a trend.
Adverts, programs and Even the media, are drumming it into us.
Blimey we will all want help to buy a newspaper the way things are going.

Sorry Dave but I disagree with you mate I do suffer from mental health depression and anxiety it's hard to explain to someone who doesn't suffer from it. I was a happy go lucky chap infact I was the life and soul of the party I'd dance go out and basically have a good time but now I dread going to work, doctors meeting new people and all that came on one morning when I woke up. Mental health pfffttt people would say even me but now I get what people say and think about it. As for people who get rejected Ie Jack it can happen mate if it happened to me it can happen to anybody. My motto as for most is enjoy your life while you can because your a long time dead.

I sympathise with you Daz, and I do know there are genuine cases out there, that applies to anything mate.
What I am getting at, is that people are constantly on about it, people are now being advised to seek help for anything mate.
We all get anxiety from time to time, back in the day it was called nervousness, so the way our family was taught, was to not overthink things.
All I can say Daz is relax about things a bit, and let others do the worrying.
And if you want to have a chat anytime mate, you know where I am.

Cheers Dave much appreciated mate.

"Don't overthink things and let others do the worrying" is oversimplification.
It is easier said than done.
If you keep being overlooked for opportunities you genuinely deserve it will start to make you wonder what you need to do.

That turns into working harder and longer, analysing the finest of details until it becomes an obsession. You start losing sleep and there's still no light at the end of the tunnel.

Bam, you're gone. You hit a spiral of negativity you can't escape, no matter how much you tell yourself you're being silly and its not a big deal.
You cannot criticise if you haven't been there. Focus on building people up using their positive attributes rather than pointing out their problems aren't as bad as others.

I am not criticizing, and I have been there, so I speak from experience.
I have numerous reasons to comment on this, and I do know what I am talking about, trust me.
You have proved the point I am making to a large extent in your post, you have over complicated the nucleus of the problem, with at lest 5 issues you have highlighted.
And yes I will say again, don`t overthink things.
