Like lots I paid a tenner to watch tonight's game, it was a comfortable evening against a very much weakened Bristol side. I didn't see that much to excite me despite 11 players trying to prove that are good enough for a premier league start, not a chance apart from traore. When Watkins came on he looked the only bit of class on the field which is good for us in the premier league. Traore will take time to settle I just hope he is not a Trez, ELGHAZI, Bolaise, time will tell. What did I expect, exactly what we got second string players doing what they do best play second fiddle and that's where I see the problems we don't have quality in depth. So while some of you are spitting blood, tell me anything I have said that is way off the mark. I like the look of our potential starting eleven on Monday but I really worry about our options off the bench, you can't rely on just the best eleven, you need a minimum of a good fifteen and we just don't have it.

Sometimes the glass can be half full you know.

Scotty, with all due respect mate, what else could they have done.
The beat what was in front of them, and beat them well.
I thought it was a very relaxed, and assured performance, apart from Taylor and El Ghazi.

3 nil win away from home from our second string team, can’t ask for that much more, 11 subs won’t have to play by themselves, max 3 of them get a run with our better players, Man city and man united second team all struggled, I think more optimism and positivity needed mate, we have 4 new players all look better than what we had last year and most likely will add another couple before window closes, if anyone said today we would have a comfortable 3 nil win tonight we all would of said “sure I’d take that” our second string last year was awful we are improving.

Dave I agree, however tonight will not either define or decide our season, I am merely looking at our future in the premier league and let's not get carried away playing a second string average championship side like Bristol. Just remember Taylor and Elghazi, who have both been critized by a number on here after further poor performances and that's my whole point, these are our back up and as I see it, like other weak players will continue to be so until we get some quality back up.

Scotty, I can see your point and concerns mate, but I think we are and will be a different proposition this season, so a bit of patience is needed.
I am looking forward to the season very much, and I think we are going to surprise a few teams.

Dave I sincerely hope you are right, and I also am looking forward to the season, but I can't yet watch the through claret tinted glasses.

First away clean sheet in over a year against a previously unbeaten Championship team, with Elmo (looking like a natural) at centre back.

I think there were loads of positives: Steer, Elmo, Freddie, (for the most part) Hause. Lansbury was excellent. Marvelous was solid. Ramsey looks class. Traore is clearly a very, VERY good footballer. Davis has arguably his best game. If Anwar could finish, that game finishes 7 or 8 nil.

Then you’ve got Trez and Watkins, who come on and combine for a goal straightaway.

It’s ‘only’ Bristol City, but that was such an assured and composed performance from our second string, I took lots of heart from it myself.
