Great news about Matty Cash.
I am slightly concerned that we're being linked with a lot of Championship players though. Would like to see some Premier league experience coming through the door.
Just can't help but feel DS is showing limited experience in recruitment.
Obviously the likes of Watkins, Benrahma, Diangana could be great acquisitions, but we've walked this path many times before.
Before I get smashed as being negative I'd just like others thoughts and constructive comments.

Chris/ Johnny I will throw a few names for consideration how about up front Ihenacho or Origi out wide Sarr Loftus Cheek in midfield and as a keeper Ben Foster. If we could land a couple of those in addition to say Watkins and Benrahma I think that would be a decent window. Like you Johnny I am concerned re all the championship links I see the latest is Eliasson from Bristol City who apparently had a really good season with them and yet 19 of his appearances were off the bench! we should be looking at better quality than that.

Good shouts both, I like Loftus Cheek a lot, would be difficult to pull off but surely he needs games, and with them treating this window like football manager, he’s going to be somewhat down the pecking order there!

Think we need to be realistic as well lads, we only have a finite amount we can spend and that needs to be stretched over a number of positions. Some of the names mentioned here are 40M+ players.
Personally I think we need another season of "squad building" before we can target those types of signings. Next summer I'm convinced we will be looking at 2 or 3 30M+ players but for now we need to punch smart and targeting the best players in the Championship to bolster our squad is a much safer approach than last summers exploits.

BK if we took the Brentford pair for £50 million, Ihenacho is apparently available for £25 million and Origi £20 million I would take either, I can’t see Foster costing more than £5 million given his age Matty Cash signed for £14 million all our business done within our £100 million budget and with change to boot 😀 We could look to take Loftus Cheek on a season long loan with an option to buy as insurance for when Jack moves on. It also balances buying potential with some premiership experience which as most of you know is something I feel we need to do this time round.

Reports today that Romero wants to join us and fee is c. £7m. Brilliant business if true as avoids committing too much of the budget and he’s about as good a GK as we could hope to get. Cash, Watkins, Benrahma, Romero. with a good amount left to get another forward, and hopefully some more depth in midfield.
