He’s 30 now, would prefer Tuanzebe, much younger, better, quicker, and possibly cheaper.
If Stones is really available for 20 million though, we surely have to make inquiries.

I live near Angers Smithy and they are the team I follow over here. I’ve watched nearly all their games for the last 4 or 5 seasons and for me their best and most consistent player is Baptiste Santamaria, a défensive midfielder who just seems to get better each season. They also have a very talented left back in Ait- Nouri, skillful and very quick, would be an improvement on Matt Targett in my opinion.

Ait-Nouri is the type of player we should be aiming go sign, these are the ambitious signings we should be attempting - He would go straight into our 11, bags of pace which we are distinctly lacking in the position!

Very true Ed, I wouldn’t actually rate Santamaria higher than Douglas Luiz. However if we fail to keep hold of Luiz, I think Santamaria would be a good alternative.
Frankly, I’m not surprised there’s a lot of interest in Ait- Nouri, terrific prospect. He is currently recovering from a broken jaw, not 100% sure if he’ll be ready for the start of the season.

Spot on you guys, would be a good catch, not overly educated on his ability, but I think he can play the whole left side of the pitch.

He would be a great catch Dave. At just 19 he’s already top notch, and got many good seasons ahead of him.
He is particularly quick, especially over the first few yards, and always seems to time his runs up the left flank to perfection, he sees a pass as well.
However there is a lot of interest and quality comes at a price. I think Angers are looking for in the region of 30 million.
I would imagine his jaw might be ok now, as it happened back in January ( how time flies) . I think they said it would take 4 months for him to recover from it.
