Here's a thought when football eventually returns, which it will, wouldn't it be a really nice touch if all clubs sported the NHS logo on their shirts instead of the usual sponsors? Obviously no sponsorship money involved just a unanimous recognition of everything they have done. Don't see the money men going for it myself but would be a fantastic gesture.

That’s a great shout Moose, you should write to the Premier league and suggest it, maybe even get a petition started.

I'm not on Twatter or Bookface Mark as not really interested in people's dilemmas about what biscuits to have with their brew lol but I'm pretty sure those that are could maybe start something and I'd waive my copyright 😂😂 even if it were only for 1 game across the entire leagues then auction the shirts after to raise money.

Love the idea mate, hope somebody influential reads your suggestion and pushes it with the relevant people. 👍.

Fantastic idea Moose, I am like you mate, I am not into taking pictures of my dinner for everyone to see and judge.
But like Mark has said, would it not be possible for someone to draw this to the attention of the Football League.
Surely it would only need a few words on paper to suggest it, then leave it with them.

Maybe the Ed's? They might have a wide range of contacts both on here and other sites maybe see if they can get any traction on the idea.

{Ed002's Note - It is a nice idea but would be a problem for some clubs with contracts they are bound in to.}

Ed mate, How would that affect a NHS Logo, on a football shirt that could be positioned either above or below the clubs sponsor logo?

{Ed002's Note - Right now the rules don't allow it. Clubs can not simply add logos.}

12 Apr 2020 12:41:14
Well maybe the name of the sponsor and the NHS logo then would be a compromise. Surely worth posing the question.

{Ed002's Note - Ask the club - via the Club Secretary - to see if they would be open raising the issue with The FA and the PL.}

I understand the contract side of things Ed002 but maybe as a 1 off they may make an exception for 1 game day and surely the positive publicity for such a show of appreciation and togetherness would be a welcome boost for football and all the commercial aspects that entails. Perhaps you could filter it onto other clubs sites and gauge the reaction if indeed you can but it would be massively appreciated cheers Ed002.

{Ed002's Note - They might well do but would need assurances from the kit manufacturers that they would not be creating additional varying kits. Although they could be sold and profits passed on the the NHS (which I think would be great), there have been social issues arising that the Government has had to try and address. These surround pressure on parents to buy all available kits for the kids in areas where they often do not have the funds to do so. This will be made worse for many families as money will be very tight for some time to come. There used to be rules governing how often clubs could change kits to avoid this situation. However, with the support from the clubs an example could be given of the Royal British Legion poppy kits, although the answer might come back that it is a charity. I will ask about the possibility though.]

Well done Ed.

Cheers for that Ed002 some good points but I was merely suggesting it as a 1 off and not available for general sale and distribution so families don't get pressured into buying it but I'm pretty sure if there was a demand the marketing people would be all over it like stink on a she*p.
