Question for mark and potentially the Ed's.
A player I've loved watching for a while, probably since the World Cup in Russia, Golovin from Monaco. What's going on with him, he's scored two today, and always looks to me like a player who should be playing at the highest level. I understand all the benefits of playing for Monaco, financially and lifestyle but is that what's keeping him there?

I saw his first 2 Dave which prompted the question, the third anything to shout about?
He plays out wide sometimes but to me he’s the perfect number 8, with his energy and ability going forward.

I am with you on this one Chris, he is a very tidy player.
I have only seen him 3 maybe 4 times so I am probably not qualified enough to give a proper run down on him.
Looks good though.

Yes mate it was a lovely free kick from the left, a good 25 - 30 yds right foot swung over and cleared everybody.
Ward-Prowse would have been proud of it ðŸ‘.

It was the World Cup that got me, he was unplayable at times!

He is a good shout mate, at least equal to Rashica, but without the ego.
As you say he would be better as a number 8, Monaco tend to play him out wider, they may know something we don`t, who knows.

Chris, I’ve only just seen your post mate. To be honest I have probably seen as much of Golovin as yourself and Dave. I haven’t watched a lot of French football of late basically because the coverage rights changed for this season and the season before that I watched all Angers’ games ( my local club) . Like you, I can remember him making a big impression at the World Cup, since then I doubt I’ve seen him play more than once or twice.
