Hello everybody this is my 1st post to this forum. I've lived in France for 15 years and have followed the Villa since we were in the 3rd division. It's been interesting reading the varying opinions on this forum and whilst I can understand people wanting Deano out, I don't think the alternatives on our wishlist would want the job. Difficult job for anybody frankly, not easy to make a silk purse out of a pig's ear and if we do go down, Deano is as good as anybody to bring us back up and he will be a hell of a lot wiser 2nd time round. I must admit it's hard to stay patient but we will be great again one day, just hope I'm still alive to see it.

A very good point you make mark, and you will probably see from my previous posts I have tendency to agree with you.
Although our situation is not ideal, a couple of shrewd purchases could make all the difference.
I do think we need to go 3-5-2 or 4-4-2 though and play Jack more central.

I used to live in France many years ago
I lived in Lyon for 32 yrs and I loved the people there.
I go back now and again to see family and there all villa fanatics.
I hope villa get out this mire they are in.
Confidence is a main issue and atitude is not right.
Hoping dean can get it right but I have doubts now.
But I think Terry is not pulling up trees for me.
Defence looks very shaky and we are error prone.
But we live in hope .

Thanks for the welcome guys. I've seen several of the games on canal tv. 3 5 2 could work just a shame we haven't still got Axel though because I think you need his sort of pace if you're playing 3 at the back. I get the impression that the defense needs more protection than it's getting.
Mainbob, very interesting that you lived in France. I live near Angers and have watched all there games this season. It's been said that Villa are interested in Baptiste Santamaria. He's excellent, great engine, good tackler and passer, also got a good shot on him when he gets forward.
He's improving all the time. It will be interesting to see if anything happens there. Anyway, au revoir pour l'instant.
