If those 2 pretty obvious errors happened in front of the Kop, would 100% be a penalty on Watkins and a goal for Bailey, up there with the joke goal given to Newcastle against Arsenal. I'm not going to dig out the performance too much, the 1 thing I would take from that match would be that if the rumours are true about Lenglet being loaned to Milan and then they're obligated to buy him for £10M, then that's a bargain and we should pay the fee ??♂️

The push on Watkins should have been a penalty but I can't see a compelling reason that the goal should have stood.
The only defense to the goal standing is to call it a different phase of play but it was too early to say for sure.

Ramsey was having his shirt pulled too for the disallowed goal RK, tbf Duran shoulda got sent off, but he was having his shirt pulled which only counts in our favour by the halfway line ??♂️

By a different player though, the shirt pull by a defender has no effect on him grabbing the goalkeepers arm.
Holding an actual body part is going to prevent movement far more than an item of clothing and we all know goalkeepers get more protection.
I think the ref got both Watkins penalty shouts wrong but the disallowed goal and the handball decision were perfectly acceptable calls.
If in doubt, think about your reaction if those calls were down the other end.

I disagree on the handball it was as blatant as you will see, the disallowed goal was purely ramseys fault, all he has to do is stand in front of the keeper you can’t go holding him like that, he had a pretty bad game all found and that topped it off, the push on Watkins was also blatant he not only had both hands on his back pushing him but he also had a hold of his jersey.
Personally I think if something is 50:50 it should go the way of the attacking team, anti football tactics shouldn’t be rewarded, nobody wants to watch that, zirinksy Mostar showed more ambition than that lot last night.
Duran should of being sent off last night and it’s exactly what he needs his attitude stinks he reminds me of balloteli, bad egg if you ask me

The "handball" was definitely deliberate but was the top of the arm which isn't classed as handball. It was very close but just about within the rules.
Duran could have gone either way. I think the elbow was accidental and he was trying to go over his head to swat the other guys arm around but accept that players have been sent off for less.
I like that Duran has passion, he just needs to channel it in the right way, some of his sliding challenges recently have been a disaster waiting to happen.

We will have to agree to disagree RK, from all the angles I seen it hit the part of his arm with no sleeve covering it and that for me is not the top of the arm, couple that with the deliberate action it’s a peno, arsenal or city would be awarded that all day long. I’ve seen penalties for some ridiculous handballs this season and in terms of subjectivity I believe it’s much closer to penalty than non penalty.
