I guess his failure to deliver on the 5 year plan from championship to Europe… Oh wait….
I’m not sure about the whole thing, a tad concerned, a tad excited (if there’s something better in the pipeline) he done a solid job I’ll give him that, I’m not surprised to hear Chelsea and him mentioned in the same sentence.
Most of all I’d like to thank him for everything he has done for us and wish him the best of luck (but hopefully in a different league)

Gerrard was the only thing he did massively wrong.
All player signings are a risk and we tried a strategy of players who had won titles and competed against top teams across Europe. It wasn't spectacular but it did what we needed to and we've improved the squad each year relative to the level we were.
This is a change in structure, Purslow is a CEO but we're spreading responsibilities across multiple director roles.

Although I didn't like listening to him I doubt we would be in such a sound state as we are without him. He steadied the ship and made sure we didn't fall foul of ffp which I think he helped set up. I know nswe put the money in but he made sure it was spent within the guidelines. Not sad to see him go but certainly won't be slagging him off
