Surely a loss at Bristol and Bruce is gone? By some miracle, we are only 5 points from the summit, this leage is here for the taking but we need to act fast.

I've seen a lot of posts lately about how boring the whole Bruce in / Bruce Out debate has become and I completely agree. It's redundant, the only opinions that matter are those of the owners and I just hope that they are paying close attention, not just to our results, style of play and general lack of identity but to the league in general. A swift and wise appointment allied with our talented squad leaves us with a great chance of promotion, procrastinate and we will be here for a long long time.

1.) 23 Sep 2018 10:08:05
But who can we get in.

2.) 23 Sep 2018 10:36:04
That's the million dollar question who!

3.) 23 Sep 2018 11:42:30
There are plenty of options, my first choice would be Brendan Rodgers - He will instil a sense of indentity and get us playing vibrant attacking football.

In a honesty though, I don't accept the "but who do we get" excuse for keeping Bruce in the job - A manager that will play players in their correct position, regardless of historic success or win ratios or experience is instantly an improvement on Bruce - And I think / hope we would be looking at managers with more to them than that. He needs to go, we are only five points off the top, there is plenty of time to win the league but we need to act or we will blink and the gap will be in insurmountable 15+ points.

13 Sep 2018 21:37:13
De Laet leaving now. Is Bruce determined to get rid of our entire defence?

1.) 13 Sep 2018 22:55:04
I would imagine that If a new centre back is incoming at £60,000 a week, we need to get somebody off the wage bill to comply with ffp.

20 Aug 2018 14:42:42
Bolaise off to Boro, who are we realistically getting?

I seen we were linked with Declan Rice, that would be an excellent signing.

Think we need a CB, LB, LW and ST.

Any thoughts or Rumours?

Rice, Chester, Tuanzebe

Ojo, Hourihane, McGinn, Green

1.) 20 Aug 2018 15:01:21
Don't forget Hogan to sheaf Utd is a possibility,
Ojo is a real hit and miss performer,
We need a good old fashioned centre forward in my view,
Don't ask me who,
C/ back and a l/ back are no -brainers.
It's all in the air at the moment,

27 Jun 2018 10:35:52
Anybody have any news on potential takeover or investment?

1.) 27 Jun 2018 16:51:21
It's close. Xia wants to keep some sort of stake but the only way he can get good money is full sale. 3 parties are in 2 have put offers forward.

2.) 27 Jun 2018 20:31:01
Anyone have any news that isn't in all the media posts available?

27 May 2016 16:59:00
Sources close to the club are telling me that Adama, Vertout, Ayew and Amavi are going nowhere - The club will listen to offers for Gueye but will only sell if their price is me, 10M I'm let to believe.

1.) 27 May 2016 18:18:30
But doesn't he have a reported 7 1m release clause.

2.) 27 May 2016 18:32:01
All those players are for sale and all of them have told the club that they want to leave.

Any credible source close to the club will have confirmed that.

3.) 27 May 2016 18:51:24
No one will know anything only player whose come out and said they want to leave is Okore the rest haven't spoken so keep guessing or speaking to the imaginary friends that you claim are ITK.

4.) 27 May 2016 18:57:08
€10m is approx £7.1m.

5.) 27 May 2016 22:01:45
Lots of people know that those players want to leave, the agents have been touting their names around for weeks.

Villadaz, so you would happily have Bruce remain - And if he doesn't succeed again, what then?

Yes we made the playoffs but is that acceptable with the leagues most expensively assembled and experience squad? Would you expect the likes of Nuno Santo or Marcelo Bielsa or Dean Smith or David Wagner do a similar job? I certainly wouldn't, I would expect them to dominate the division and gain automatic promotion. Why, because they are much better managers.

Bruce doesn't develop and improve players, his policy is to replace rather than educate, his football is dire, he doesn't know his best 11 after 70 games, he continues to play players out of position, we develop other teams players at the expense of our own, we don't seem to have a game plan or identity. What am I missing? Honestly, fill me in!

1.) 29 Aug 2018 18:45:05
Well said BK.

2.) 29 Aug 2018 19:07:19
BK believe it or not I don't like the way Bruce sets up for some games but its the Championship and we have the most experienced manager there is to get teams out of this league that my friend is a fact. Would I get rid of him if we got up yes I would as his record in the PL is poor. As for the youngsters c'mon bud if they was anygood don't you think bigger teams would come in for them we like any other team send these youngsters out on loan to get experience that's the way of the football world i'm afraid. Apart from Wolves last season name 1 team since we have been in this league that have stood out every other team have had to grind out results like have we fell short at the final hurdle and if wasnt for a bad refereeing descision we would have gone on to win that game but eh oh. And for the record our owners who are billionaires in their own right have backed him are they wrong?

3.) 29 Aug 2018 19:19:14
Fulham, Huddersfield, ncastle, brighton.

4.) 29 Aug 2018 19:22:29
Get it right daz new owners were going to get rid but fans saved bruce owners listend but they won't nxt time.

5.) 29 Aug 2018 19:46:48
And you know villa4eva because? And if it was the fans then the majority of the fans then must be stupid then because they want to keep Bruce shot yourself in the foot there fella.

6.) 29 Aug 2018 19:54:49
Nice1 villadaz, I agree with u mate, up the villa, let’s get ready for Saturday, tough game, hopefully win, it b tough, a point Wundt b end ov the world b4 the international break⚽️👍.

7.) 29 Aug 2018 20:01:55
While brucie is there let’s back him no matter how much slagging him off slating him on here he will still be our manager ok he is a bit of a dinosaur sometimes but we’ve have only got half the 1st eleven we did last year because of loans going bk and injuries plus his hands were tied until we got took over once we have a fully fit squad and hopefully 1 or 2 more loans I can honestly see us do alright and if we don’t by Xmas then I will reluctantly be jumping on the brucie out bandwagon as well.

8.) 29 Aug 2018 20:06:24
No villa daz I think ul find its the bruce fans who would shot them selves in the foot mate ul see time will tell owners will what most of see every week an that is dross every week, there's not point arguing because we are stuck with the useless potato head for now.

9.) 29 Aug 2018 21:21:24
Villa4eva you mentioned 3 teams being exciting that I have to disagree with. Newcastle, Huddersfield and Brighton all relied on a solid base for the majority of the season and most of their wins were by the odd goal. Huddersfield nearly didn't make the play offs due to their gung-ho start to the season.
We played gung-ho under RDM and look where that got us.
Bruce has said he wants the players to move the ball quicker and get further up the pitch so how is it his fault that players aren't finding space and taking 10 touches when 2 will do?
I don't agree with some of his subs and think there should be more fitness work to keep energy up for the relentless run of games but why keep saying he is telling them to play the opposite to what he says in interviews just because that is what ends up happening?
Our boo boys are too quick on the trigger when someone tries something but it doesn't come off and the players quickly become scared to take any risks.

28 Aug 2018 22:29:31
Another shambolic performance, and now Green is being sent out on loan!

Bruce needs to be removed from his post with immediate effect!

25 Aug 2018 17:03:00
More dropped points, more appalling football and failure to convert chances, more poor substitutions to consolidate a slim lead - I honestly can't understand how some people on this site continue to defend Bruce!

Just look at the difference a brave an exciting appointment has made to Leeds, yet we are stuck with this dinosaur!

Looking forward to hearing the usual excuses paraded out again by Bruce and his supporters on this site.

Appalling, that's Reading, Brentford, and Ipswich we gave falied to beat now - The gap to promotion widens each week, how long do we give this man!

1.) 25 Aug 2018 17:11:49
Agree mate sum people on here think Bruce is God, don't get it with the Bruce fans there blind an they don't realise he's taken villa bckwards, I've tried for 2yrs to get behind him but can't anymore.

2.) 25 Aug 2018 17:12:52
Our goalie saved us from being beaten,
The new kid played well.
Man of match again is mcginn
But kodjia back to his selfish best.
Did not get in penalty area enough,
The owners were there I wonder what they thought of it,
Reading are a very poor side just like Ipswich yet only 2 points from them games,

3.) 25 Aug 2018 17:18:20
Couldn't have asked for a better start, this man is a total fool - RB at RW, CB at RB, DMF at CB, RB at LB! , how is this las still employed at Villa?

4.) 25 Aug 2018 17:18:48
Hopefully they will see what most of see is that we need a change, all the bruce lovers need to wake up.

5.) 25 Aug 2018 17:25:03
How can people stick up for him what has he done at villa if we are honest, what has he built to improve on, what youngsters has he improved, no doubt some1 on here will say he'has the highest win percentage of any manager great, that doesn't mean ote he has failed it's time sum1 else gets a chance who can attack an put teams to bed with right tactics an subs.

13 Aug 2018 08:40:19
What do we think the team for Ipswich will be? It's impossible to second guess Bruce, his team selections are baffling but would something like this work?

DeLaet, Chester, Tuanzebe, Hutton

McGinn, Hourihane

Adomah, Grealish, Green

1.) 13 Aug 2018 09:09:40
I would replace Elmo with de-laet
Replace kodjia with Murphy,
Replace Jedi with elfick? Elfick not great but better than Jedi for c/ back,
Rest of team as Saturday against wigan.

2.) 13 Aug 2018 09:47:31
Who do you think we will sign?

Bolaise, Abraham and a LB and I think we are going up. That would be a serious squad!

3.) 13 Aug 2018 10:28:12
I think bolaise could happen,
He is on high wages of around 70 grand so ffp could ruin it happenings .
The owners paying that is no problem.
We need a good c/ back and a goalscorer.
Abrahams could happen as well,
Think you could see 4 loans coming in
Would love this kid from real Madrid he could set the championship alight,

4.) 13 Aug 2018 12:11:47

Thor needs to be in the team instead of Hourihane.

5.) 13 Aug 2018 14:03:39
Getting this Martin odeguaad would be a brilliant signing if the reports are true he wants to come into the championship,
Seen his video and he looks a brilliant talent,
Would prefer him over bolaise tho.

6.) 13 Aug 2018 20:37:35
Imagine Jack and Odegaard feeding a fit Hogan, would walk the Championship

10 Aug 2018 16:32:22
Anybody know if we can get the new kits in long sleeve, or do they plan to do a LS version?

Love an aul long sleeve me!

Kyle Walker was loan 8 years ago, as I mentioned football has moved on since then. I'm talking about our top talent, Kyle Walker was nowhere near the first team, likewise most players who are loaned out. That doesn't apply to Green.

Look at how Pep is treating Phil Fodan, he is integrated into the first team, likewise TAA at Liverpool.

Green is a raw talent, potentially one of the best the academy will produce. Does he need games or does he need to be coached? And why can't both be done at Villa? Surely we should be developing players like O'Hare and Green, not passing the responsibility to a lower league club?

Its gone past "style" for me now - Bruce is a relic, football has moved on and we are in an era of new coaching and management.

Last night was abysmal, the team had no shape, no real game-plan or strategy - It reminded me of an auto-select team on Fantasy Premier League. And then he blames the players, said the "performance" made him sick, he selected the team, surely they are working on tactics and preparing for Burton since the Reading game? Or is that too much to ask?

Now Green is leaving on loan - Would any top manager allow his most talented youth products to leave on loan? We aren't exactly over run with wingers at the club, we have 4 and he is willing to let one go rather than develop him - Appalling.

We don't have the players for 3-5-2 unless we drop El Ghazi and Bolasi, they would not work in that system as they aren't defensive enough.

For me we need to look at 4-5-1 with either Tammy or Kodjia up front or a 4-3-3 with Bolaise and Kodjia off Tammy.

Jack on the left doesn't work, he is much better through the middle, totally agree Hourihane and McGinn should be the middle two for sure - El Ghazi and Adomah lovely options from the bench, as is Hogan and Davis when fit. Going forward we really are spoilt for choice but it's defence where we struggle, last night we could have conceeded a couple.

My only hope is that, when the big games come, our experienced team raises it's game.

Dave, I think that is harsh though, let us down? Bruce selected a makeshift 11 of predominantly unplayed players and AGAIN had them out of position! We can't expext players to play with any sort of identity if they aren't at the very least played in their preferred position, and we don't play to their strenght - Like how he expected RHM to have an impact when he is chasing long balls with no support is beyond me? And then HE comes out and critizes them!

There is only one person to blame and it's not the players who are being asked to do something they aren't used to - Jedinak is not a CB, his presence is causing confusion for Chester, Axel is not a RB, Hutton is not a LB, Taylor is not a played you bring on when are chasing a game! This man needs to be removed now!

Class it's not ONE game, it's 70 or 80! Football has passed him by, that was abysmal today but nobody on this can can say with honesty that it hasn't been coming, bar 45 minutes against Brenford we have been appalling - How you and others continue to support him and are satisfied with this standard of play and results is beyond me!

Defence looks like that because our manager continues to put square pegs in round holes - A defence of Taylor, Chester, Axel, Hutton would surely function much better? At the VERY least they would be in the right f@#king position!
