If you had asked me in January what our next transfer window looked like I would have said mass clear out and we need to bring in 6 or 7 quality players to push us towards a European place in 23/24. Now given how Emery has got a tune out of this squad and how some of our loan players have performed albeit at Championship level, if we are astute in the window and buy players who are able to do a job in a number of positions for example the likes of Tierney who can play left back, as a left sided centre back or one of a three then maybe 3 or 4 signings will suffice, a striker, winger/attacking midfielder and left back/centre back.

I agree lotm I can’t see us buying anymore than 3 or 4 and hopefully keep our best 3 loanees with the first team, I can’t wait for the start of next season.
