Didn't see the whole of the game just the highlights so in fairness it's difficult to make a proper judgement however I thought the analysis on MoD was for once spot on in that we are under Emery playing an incredibly high line, teams will quickly identify how to play against us and we saw yesterday that it is not that difficult to break the line and with the space in behind clever strikers will get the opportunity to cash in.

Lotm, i can see both sides of the debate, the highline can work, however it's inevitable that teams will beat it giving the attacking player plenty of space and time to score, the defenders will be left without the opportunity to recover.

One of our best wins, was against a team playing a high line, Liverpool 7-2 .

I did watch the whole game lotm and in almost 100 mins they broke our line once, they had something like 9 offsides it was comical watching them try to beat our system, united also struggled to break it. there are ways of beating every system but the results are speaking for itself, Emery has being hugely successful and if it’s that easy to beat and that easy for teams to figure it out then how has it being so successful for Emery in his previous jobs and in his current one?

Agree Whack, unfortunately teams only need to break it once, one lapse by one of the back four and the keeper is exposed one on one.

That is true Scot, and that’s why it’s important to take our chances at the other end, you have to admit our back 4 are getting very good at it and hopefully that improvement continues, for the minute it’s working more than it’s not. Next 2 games will be a good test of the system
