That game was unbelievable. We could of won, perhaps we should of won, but what a game . If we go up, Tammy has to be a first buy, his work rate and ability, is there to see . Kodjia was back to his frustrating best, if his head was right, he could be a world beater . Axel once again, was brilliant, the pace he has got, covers every where .
Came out of the game and felt knackered .
Roll on the Borough .

Dean Smith is impressing me. I don't believe we should've won yesterday, but it was close!
I believe that we will qualify through play-offs this season, though, and end up on 3rd place. We can atleast do that.

Come on, the Villa! :D.

22 Nov 2018 00:38:43
I hope it's not true, but a lot of people appear, to think Chester was already carrying an injury . If this is true, why did Giggs play him . International managers should remember, they are only borrowing the player .
Onwards&Upwards Villaforever.

1.) 22 Nov 2018 02:52:20
If that is the case why was he allowed to go in the first place? he should not have even been available for selection.

17 Nov 2018 16:20:57
Did anybody hear anything, about the behind closed doors game?

1.) 18 Nov 2018 10:59:21
Yeh you can't get in Dave.

2.) 18 Nov 2018 16:09:48
Dave, it’s just that, Deano made a few comments, after the other one . But I haven’t see anything this time .

3.) 20 Nov 2018 15:24:53
Nothing to say!

How did Smith play Hogan at Brentford? Hogan isn't your typical, player up front on his own . He needs to play in a two, needs to feed off somebody . If he was played on his own, he would need to hold the ball up and I don't think he's that type of player . Still that's for Smith to sort out .

He was played in a 4-2-3-1 formation, with someone like Romaine Sawyers in support of him.
It was stated that he would be used as the main man and it was the theory that he was a chances to goals player, the example being, give him chances and he will score.
Josh McEachran and Ryan Woods were always looking to play him in through the middle, and it worked well for them.
Hogan is an 18yd box player and needs feeding with through ball`s, he can create his own chances but if he does not get the ball he can drift out of games so must be kept involved.
Similar players were, A Cole, and R Fowler.
If we keep him we must play to his strengths, and that means getting the ball in the box as soon and as often as possible and support him as a team.
I am not sure we can do that with the players we have.

2.) 27 Oct 2018 13:17:55
Glad it was of some help to you 82.?

3.) 27 Oct 2018 14:47:02
Cheers Dave.

23 Oct 2018 23:13:11
Axel was immense tonight, good job because Chester's head didn't seem with it . Same as last game, we are not yet fit enough, to play high tempo . Albert and Tammy going off at the same time didn't help . Norwich are a good side and are playing the way we want to . the second half they showed us how it's done . Jack other than running across the line drawing fouls, wasn't very influential. I may be wrong but he seems a bit frustrated and lost for ideas . Perhaps somebody like Lansbury, should at least, be looked at, if we could get him anywhere near like he was at Forest, he could play his part .

Like I was saying before, we have to get fitter, we don't seem anywhere near, as fit as last season . To play like Dean wants, that fitness is a priority.
On to QPR Friday, another hard game . Never rated McClaren, but he's certainly got them playing again .
Onwards&Upwards Villaforever.

1.) 24 Oct 2018 10:48:08
Agreed. I think that every Aston Villa-player should get the chance to play. I rate Lansbury, he can do well for us.

At least we didn't lose . We certainly didn't play, well enough, we didn't create enough chances . Must admit Stoke played better, than I thought they would . The attitude of the team, to come back twice, was great . We missed Jack today, his little driving runs + all the free kicks he draws .
Back on it for Sunday .

1.) 15 Dec 2018 21:46:57
Its a good point against a side that's going to be up there . i think a lot of teams would struggle with the hard fixtures we have got, we will be in top6 at end of season and win play off final, we sort out defence in jan with a cb and lb and a new gk is a must, then we will be ready to pounce on any slip ups leeds, norwhich, make.

2.) 16 Dec 2018 14:23:29
Sorry Villa4eva, you are again tempting fate.
Please don`t keep saying we will do this and we will do that.
So many did it last season and look what happened.
If we go up automatically great, if we make the play offs again, we have a chance.
We had a chance to make a bit of ground yesterday with the results, and again we did not take it.

07 Dec 2018 23:13:40
How did we not win that? Tammy could and should of had, at least two . El Ghazi, just keeps getting better and better . Brilliant goal and some of his, touches are unbelievable.
Trust the Baggies, to score like that, but we should of had it won by then anyway .
Tammy has been fantastic, but without all those misses, he could of been world class . That of course, is being greedy, the kid works his socks off, to get in the positions he does . When he starts putting them all away, god help the rest of the league .
The mighty Maggin, was his typical non stop, upsetting the opposition.
Overall, another unbeaten game .
Onwards&Upwards Villaforever.

1.) 08 Dec 2018 00:06:30
Tammy missed so many tonight which is so unlike him, but I suppose all players have off days. We still deserved the 3 points in my eyes, McGinn should have had a penalty and that shot that hit the woodwork was so unlucky. But to be robbed like that at the end of the match was disgusting.

02 Dec 2018 14:41:12
Under Brucie, we saw a couple of flashes, of wha we where capable of . The great results at, Bristol and Wolves, stand out . The difference is, with Bruce, if we went a goal up, he was trying to protect it . With Deano, he has released the shackles . If we score one, he wants another . He has a compleatly different mindset . You can see in the attitude, of the players, they are revelling in the new freedom .
I must admit, I was in the camp of give Brucie another chance . This thinking was mainly due to the, financial situation at the time . But now with hindsite, if only Deano had been here all season . Obviosly it not just the players, the fans as well, are filled with a new excitement. This is the style of football we have been dreaming about, this is the style that, gets grounds, full and buzzng . So Deano, keep our dream going .
Onwards&Upwards Villaforever.

1.) 02 Dec 2018 17:48:11
I agree, I was one of the fools who backed Bruce. My reasons were that sometimes changing managers takes a long while before you see any effect, The disruption can have a negative effect. However if we had of changed managers at the start of the season we would of ended up with Thierry Henry and I think we would of all been on here writing completely different posts, which is another reason I voted for Bruce.

Deano has come in to the frame and stamped his mark on the team very quickly and he has the team playing exciting winning football, so I'm happy to say I was wrong about Bruce and hats of to Deano. Hopefully he will given funds to fine tune the squad in the coming window, if that happens then we will have a good chance of pushing forward and getting us back to where we all want to be. UTV.

2.) 03 Dec 2018 14:55:34
Well said villa fan, atleast now us villafans are all united now and fully behind manager mate, i too wanted henry but i'm glad we didn't get him because he has done nothing in france.

3.) 03 Dec 2018 21:45:38
I think the past is irrelevant, yesterday was another day .

The last five games are all in the past let’s nust keep looking forward and climb that table .

Brucie is in the past, I thank him for his efforts . But let’s not dwell on his stewardship let’s look forward to the Smith era

I for one hope that he is with us for years to come, I would like a manger that is here for the long haul who we back through thick and thin .

Finally we are playing attractive football .

01 Dec 2018 19:45:37
What a great win, Fantastic from start to finish . Boro best defence in the league and they just didn't know what to do .
Personly my man of the match, would of been El Ghazi . For a player who's had hardly any game time, he was great . The amount of time, he covered back winning the ball was brilliant . Got to give it him, he worked his socks off.
Deano has certainly made an unbelievable difference, we look a totally different side .
Roll on Friday and the Baggies, I bet they won't fancy it .
Onwards&Upwards Villaforever.

1.) 01 Dec 2018 20:00:54
11 goals and 2 clean sheets in 3 games against sides above us is good going. El Ghazi was class and thought Nyland was more positive, good save from Hugills shot.
Still worried about clinical teams, Gayle could be a nightmare if he plays Friday.

2.) 01 Dec 2018 20:01:07
El Ghazi looked quality. Deano's selections and tactics were spot on tonight and the players executed them brilliantly.

3.) 01 Dec 2018 20:24:32
Great win .

Totally blew away Boro who was outclassed all over the park .

El Ghazi finally looks like the player we all thought he was . I seem to remember Bruce saying we have the option to buy el ghazi for 2.5 million? IMO that would be the be a good buy

Abraham as a player is just fantastic, his movement, holdup play, technical ability and goal poaching are first class .

I have said it before and will again . If the owner can get around FFP and Chelsea would do a deal for an extraordinary amount of money I think he would be worth every single penny.

01 Dec 2018 12:09:12
Very strange quiet, atmosphere in the club last night . Non of the Noses wanted to discuss football at all . I tried bringing it up a couple of times, but nobody was biting HaHa

Nice to see were off the Mark, first one in . Mainbob from what they say, he's comfortable playing in a range of positions . Somebody like this could be realy useful over the rest of the season . He should certainly ad some power and energy where ever he plays . Onwards&Upwards Villaforever.

Bob I agree, but I think we might be being greedy . Only negative today, was the playing it out from the back . If your playing that way, everybody has to be switched on . They all looked as if, the last thing they where expecting was a pass . Thank god for Axel, that kid gets better every game . But other than that, great game and the atmosphere was unbelievable.

If Villa had 3-4 England players, it might be different, two would do .
