This is a bit random-sounding, but there were things I liked about Samatta, and he's still our player. Would anyone else be interested to see what Watkins and Samatta could do up top for us together? I think it has potential to work. I know Wesley isn't far away, but I'm ignoring that for now! :)

He’s been sold mate, for 5 or 6 million to Fenerbace.
But for what it’s worth, I really liked Samatta to begin with, his effort and endeavour was brilliant. Strong as an Ox, decent in the air and a work horse.
But somewhere along the line he lost the hunger and come the end of his spell he was useless to be honest. When you look at the amount of chances Grealish alone created last season, and then Samatta who was playing near enough every game after he arrived, scored 2 goals in 16 games, it paints the picture.

Oh, you know I thought he'd been sold, but recently read it was actually a loan, but that must have been wrong. Thanks for clearing it up.

Ah so he IS technically still on loan, but will sign permanently in the summer. But apparently they might sell him immediately because he's only scored a few goals there too.

Yea mate I had to double check when I read your post, it’s a loan to buy. So like you said, technically a loan but obligated to buy at the end.
