In answer to chris, If you think Wesley was brilliant yesterday I must be missing something.
If Wesley was brilliant, Trez was ultra magnificent.
Wesley spends too much time on his bum, then arguing and moaning why he is on his bum.
The bloke is 6`4" with a build to match, he needs to shut up and man up.

Agree0 Disagree0

Did you not see all that chasing down he did? He tryed but he had no service trouble with young players espically strikers is they need to know where to be I do think Wesley could improve but yesturday definitely a 6 out of 10.

03 Nov 2019 16:55:47
Yes I did, and he did it once that`s why the crowd cheered him.
Apart from our defenders the best player for us yesterday was Trez.
He did more chasing down than anyone.

He was colossal yesterday, does he spend too much time moaning and staying down? Yes. Did he yesterday? No. He was brilliant against Lovren the whole game, think he lost the arial battle to him once, despite the fact a lot of the out balls and goal kicks etc were just hit with hope instead of directed to him. He ran his arse off yesterday and I haven’t seen someone get the whole ground off their feet without being subbed or scoring etc in a very long time, he was brilliant and the crowd showed their appreciation. This is a brilliant stepping stone for him to work from. For me the whole first 11 were class, could have been braver in getting closer to Wes but against Liverpool they can be forgiven for that. It’s the subs that were our undoing, the defending from Kodjia and Hourihane was criminal for the last goal. Shows we need to strengthen in January!

I was answering WTW, he asked me if I saw the chasing down Wesley did and I said yes I did.
I agree it was Trezeguet`s` best game, that`s why I am mentioning him
he is improving every game, and I think it should appreciated, he could become very valuable to us.
Everyone fell in love with Wesley when he had a good game, me included, so nothing different there.

03 Nov 2019 19:33:38
You did what mate? And I’d agree Trez was our best player, but just because one player played well doesn’t mean another didn’t, I don’t understand you mentioning Trez so often.

For me that was his best game for us, Don’t think I’m being blunt or anything Dave, it’s a good debate point and I did reply explaining why I thought he was so good.

I must have been watching the wrong game!
Wes worked hard and that was all he did.
This is compulsory with any player.
But to say he was brilliant is way off the scale.
Wes needs to step up otherwise we will end up with another player overpriced.
I really hope he comes good I really do but apart from the everton game and the 2 goals against a very poor defensive side in Norwich he has failed to impress in my opinion.

04 Nov 2019 16:17:46
Spot on Bob, you have clear lenses mate, not tinted.

04 Nov 2019 19:54:16
Surely you didn’t watch Wesley Saturday and thought all he did was work hard?

04 Nov 2019 20:31:14
Yep, not much more chris.
Look, my take on it is that he may improve in time, but at the moment he is found wanting, and he is only turning in one performance every four games or so.

04 Nov 2019 21:50:03
So what more could he have done here? Are you expecting messi style performances. How many chances did he miss against Liverpool?

05 Nov 2019 12:47:51
Silly thing to say chris, why would I expect a Messi performance from him.
He could have sopped arguing and stayed on his feet more, that`s what he could have done.
From what I have seen of Wesley, he goes to ground to easily and he complains to much, that is my opinion.
This subject has run its time mate, I have said what I think and you don`t` agree, that`s fine.

05 Nov 2019 13:44:14
The messi point was more style of play, not player. He isn’t going to skin 3 players and drive it forward with the ball his feet, is what I was getting at.

Dave I’ve been vocal about how he stays down and moans too much many a time on here, my point is I didn’t see any of that in him against Liverpool, he was up for the fight, got on with us and did all we could ask of him, in my opinion.
