Great performance 1 through to 11, Bailey was not only a handful going forward but did the defensive side of the job and did it well. Tielemans was class, looks much better in a forward role than how we have played him in previous rounds. Watkins had a rather quiet game for him but like all good strikers he was there when needed to finish things off.
A lot of hype around Alkmaar before the game was played and on paper they appeared a good side but if we are honest the Eredivisie is a poor league but you can only beat what's in front of you and we did that extremely comfortably. Onwards and Upwards.

Confidence has to be rife in the squad, we really are putting teams away, great to see midfielders banging them in while Ollie plugs away steady as you like. I’ll be proper chuffed if we beat Luton Forrest and spuds.

Much more to it than that Buck, easily the better team tonight against a lower level but dominant force at home.
No, it wasn't perfect, but it was a very good display. Credit where it's due, Emery got the level of rotation spot on tonight.
