I know we've had many messiah managers that are great to start with then it goes dramatically wrong, with Emery it's 100% different, he's more valuable than any player we have, we need to tie him down to a longer contract with a ridiculous buy out clause (we payed £5M for his Villareal buy out clause if i remember right?) with some wheeler dealing in January and good (better) luck with injuries, I can see us doing 'a Leicester' ?

On 24 October 2022, Emery was appointed as head coach of Aston Villa after the Premier League team paid a buyout fee of a reported €6 million (£5.2 million) to Villarreal. Due to work permit formalities, the appointment did not complete until 1 November, according to Wikipedia.
