Hi Villa guys,
We are currently lying 3rd in the table from when Emery came to us and that is great.
However I am at a loss to find what he has done to create this winning streak from the dross we were watching previously.
Has he instilled a confidence that was missing, the players are the same people?
We do seem to be defending higher up the pitch, but what else?
Every body will have a different opinion, so let's hear it.

TOV could it simply be that as a recognised well respected Elite manager, the likes of which the players have never come across before, they are trusting him 100% and are willing to run through fire for him?
Whatever the reason long may it continue!

its everything,tactical nouse,little things like staying in shape,we press better,and are more solid at the bck now,apparently unai is a work horse on training ground and it shows from our results,under last manager he didn't have a clue

He's got us more organised, everyone has bought into his ideas and have performed better. Think under Gerrard he just picked the team and formation and hoped Coutinho would open the opposition up.

Most top players and managers regularly say its the little details that make the difference.
There's not really a huge difference in fitness and technical ability across all of the players.
Positioning and timing can be crucial and by all accounts Emery works on details like that religiously.
I'm surprised you've missed the glaringly obvious difference that we're not trying to play 2 fullbacks as auxiliary strikers. Not leaving ourselves exposed is allowing the forward players to express themselves more without fear of being turned over as easily.

I was reading a while back that we are spending a lot of time watching video etc, we seen to be a lot wiser with and without the ball, was reading that Gérard was all about the training ground and ran the lads into the ground, Emery detail and knowledge of the game is second to none, each player is burning with confidence but under Gérard it was completely drained
