Seems sg and Lange have surpassed themselves when it really matters, wolves get dawson for pin money and bedinak goes to the hammers!-when the time comes you can't sign a veteran or a defender no-one even thought was that prolific then that tells me agents ever don't believe in the 'vision' or they know he's for the chop and no way do they want anything to do with it,signs seem a bit ominous, sg needs at least one marquee signing today to show everyone he's still boss, the locker room isn't a place to test for a good atmosphere apparently, just for the fact he's a young English manager I hope he turns it around, but if the troops are downing tools, that's a different story, time will tell.

We won't sign anybody of note today Class, I don't think the owners trust Gerrard hence the lack of genuine activity - For me the writing is on the wall and I suspect that's the feeling at the top of the club, no point making a statement signing now when a new manager might be in place come mid September. There's more than enough in the current squad to move us well away from any genuine danger if a competent manager is in place.

I thought he would last until October, but I think it will be Sunday now. No signings, the funds have been stopped.

Bk, I hope you're wrong, even though I don't like sg, even he doesn't deserve what some players are not doing. I heard a pundit say Watkins literally had no passes, shots, dribbles etc.

I didn't see all the game, my heart wasn't in it, but if true that's shocking and worse still its come to the point where we're praying that Luiz is kind enough to stay with us rather than leave?

That stinks of management being so arrogant to allow his contract to wind down so with one year left he can either stay with us,or maybe go to Liverpool etc, if you were him, what would you do?

i think we will always be thought of as a stepping stone club until we get a management team in place that makes players want to come, remember when players went to United because of Taggart as manager.

now players turn them down, unless they're offered silly money, yet a few miles down the road, Pep has the pick of Europe, with the likes of haarland turning down all of Europe's elite because city are the new united, the last time I remember players wanting to choose us over others was when Martin o'Neill was in charge.

pretty obvious pattern really, pay whatever it takes to get in someone who identifies with the manager (I know sg was able to attract some players, but no track record down here, pretty dimb punt by purslow and the fact rangers let sg go, but fought to keep beale should have been a big clue),its a shooting gallery to try and pick a manager with enough experience but who isn't tied down already, so the question is, roll the dice with a foreign manager (the poch springs to mind)or go for someone like sean dyche.

not so glamorous but could make us a team that would be solid, efficient and the players he brought in would be here because of him, who knows what's around the corner.
