MD, I agree about Tuchel. I would be disappointed.
It is reported that Poch, at this stage in his life, may not feel he needs to take a risk and will want to wait for an easy option. But that is not confirmed as far as I can see. Just speculation by the likes of Gary Neville. If it is true though, you have to question if he's right for it anyway.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a good manager. Big club, best league on the world, and money to spend. I expect us to get it right this time.

Over a pint down the local Menace, Poch friendly type, Tuchel a bit to austere, and wouldn’t put his hand in his pocket when it was his round?

56 I agree wholeheartedly that it’s a fantastic opportunity but not for the top guys it is too big a risk, and a bit of a poison chalice, the Villa job has effectively ended the careers of a number of guys over the last few years the likes of Lambert, McLeish, Di Matteo, Sherwood, Garde, Little and Gregory (and I could go back further and name a few more) who have not had a sniff at even a mid ranking side since leaving VP. An opportunity yes but I think more for someone who has an affiliation with the club like Deano or an up and coming guy who is extremely confident in his own ability
