Haven’t made it to the game today, I know our atmosphere is bad when I’m sat in the stands but my god it’s even more obvious how bad it is on the tv.

Granted the ref hasn't covered himself in glory for both teams but anyone else fed up of our players waving their arms around like babies anytime a foul isn't given.
Rogers in particular this season has developed this complex he can't be tackled or anything 50/50 has to go his way.
Been a really bad 45 between two teams who look so poor in the final third. Fingers crossed we grab an early goal second half and turn the game on it's head.

Certainly did make up for it. Emery with great substitutions yet again Malen and Barkley both having a hand in the goals.
Considering we were so sloppy it's great to get out with 3 points considering Leeds home record being so strong particularly when scoring first

Granted we've had a stinker with the disallowed goal BUT that was absolutely horrendous and we deserved nothing out the game.

A tough day. Similar emotions to the Cup semi against Palace. Hard to stand back with perspective when you feel really cheesed off.
The reality is, in the time Emery has led Villa we are much improved and competitive across multiple competitions. We've got into the top 7 three seasons running, qualified for Europe three seasons running and got to Cup semi finals.
What we are lacking is the ability to 9 times out of 10 win the games that matter (like today) .
Be interesting to see the ins and outs over the Summer. The future is still bright.

Let’s be honest Diaby was poor last season, throw the stats at me all you want but I watch football with my eyes and he looked lost most of the time.
I’d say Emery and co have seen we can make a profit and took it and ran. Diabys stats suggest he was a top performer last season and there would be plenty more sniffing round him if that was the case.

The job emery has done is a double-edged sword, yes he's proven the owners have made the correct decision.
But as the astute businessmen our owners are they may well be looking saying hold on unai that £150m you wanted when you joined in November can go on ice here's £75m as you've took this group from 17th to potentially Europe so it can't all be bad from a playing staff perspective.
Not saying that's what's going to happen but let's not all hang our hats on a war chest for a complete overhaul

Lord regarding Elliot I did see a post on here recently regarding the UEFA financials running until December. As we have a £35m buy clause after 10 games the theory/rumours is that us having to pay that fee this side of the year with our current psr standings that this is the reason why he isn't featuring as much.
Again it was just a theory/rumour but Elliot may well be aware of this and could start featuring more in December and new year?
I can't remember who posted it but it was explained far better than I have managed to lol

Daz I totally take your point on board regarding some reactionary over the top posts and yes it does feel like a pile on when we get beat but I’m simply responding to the points made about the performance.
Even the most optimistic of fans must see that Guessand isn’t worth £260,000 at the moment let alone £26m.
Sancho I feel is another Rashford situation where we are so desperate for it to work out we will overly praise the most basic of things he does.
Did I expect us to win 5-0? No
Did I expect it to be a bit off due to circumstances out of the clubs control? Yes
Did I expect a better performance by players who are on the cusp of the starting 11? I definitely did.
I hope we start to string some good performances with results that match but I am concerned that this season still could go either way based on what I’ve seen.

Daz with the greatest of respect the points made by the chaps above yours are spot on. Really pedestrian performance overall, went in 1 up quite fortunately.
Rightly been pointed out that Guessand is miles off it in terms of quality we need and he’s cost us £27m to boot. Sancho another perplexing signing who personally I’ve never been a fan of and the Elliot signing is a joke. The manager who in my opinion has plenty of credit in the bank still must take responsibility for the recruitment along with Mr Monchi who has now parted ways, dummies were spat regarding the PSR situation pre season but we really haven’t helped ourselves with the recruitment.
Pointing out flaws or concerns which have substance don’t make people less of a fan or fickle etc.
Form has picked up overall granted and we’ve put some decent performances in, particularly City but there are still some glaringly obvious issues that need to be addressed for us to be challenging for Europe via the league this season.
3 points is a positive in what was a really strange event overall with all the nonsense that came with the fixture.
One huge positive was the return of Youri who’s creativity and ability to pick penetrating early forward passes will benefit us massively going into the run in up to Christmas.
