In case you didn't know, Neve, most other teams, including Villa, are fielding a lot of reserves. It's the game. We all get on with it with no excuses. Well most of us, anyway.

surely the whole point of having a squad is so you’re not stuck if you get injuries etc. they are not ‘reserves’ but quality players who are part of the overall premier league team who could, for a variety of reasons, suddenly become a first team regular. ? i would have thought that you could classify anyone who is not in the regular starting eleven at any club as a ‘reserve’. that would therefore put the likes of jack in that category

Well that was unfourtunate and it's ironic that on Mothers Day Villa got undone by three sons;Maddison Johnson and Son.
McGinn getting himself sent off as he doesn't want to play against the Wolves with Mario and Joao bossing the midfield.
Was looking forward to some Midlands interest in the CL but Villa bottled it and let the region down.
