Come on you moaning buggers, pick the bones out of that one HaHa. Where is Tom to slag Ginny off, what a shift he put in, Ginny not Tom. All three goals brilliant, two with skill and one with sheer effort by Jackson. He has got better and better, his first touch, holding the ball up and runs are great. Suszuki and Hemming will both become firm favourites, Hemmings had hard luck, he could have had a couple tonight. I know there will be at least one of you, who won’t be able to control yourselves without moaning.

Gomes was brilliant, all over the park, at least he looked fit, shame about his card. Can you explain how their keeper, wasn’t at least booked, for handling the ball outside the box, didn’t get that one at all.
When you consider the improvement since Brighton, still with more players to come in, the sky's the limit. I know Claret and Blue tinted specs, but that’s what we deserve UTV.

Dave, it's not about moaning, it's about commenting on what you see. Of course it's a great result, but there were issues. How easy we were to play through at times; we struggled against an average side who made us look defensively awkward against pace. Constructive debate should never be confused with moaning.

I love John McGinn, but he lost the ball far too many times in the second half and put us under unnecessary pressure. Three points to open our account is brilliant, and when we add our missing class on the pitch, we should start to get some of our performances to get back on track.

My only moan is Mbaye still hasn't got a run out. Didn't care what kind of win we got tonight so long as we got the 3 points.
Only got to watch the first half because of work. I did get to listen to the second half.

It sounded like we were under pressure, but we hung in.
I have to say I'm super impressed with Hemmings, and already love Suzuki. His distribution is unreal.

Of course it's great to get a win, but why when we are in control of a game do we concede so much space and possession and end up under the cosh? Brugge aren't a good side, but they have great pace down the wings, something we must do to compete in the Premier League. I thought Gomes was as good as Kamara was poor, and not for the first time.

Tammy, like Bailey, was, is a spent force and if we have to pay him to sit on the bench so be it. McGinn scored a great goal but then lost the ball far too many times and put us under pressure. Jackson will get confidence from his performance and goal tonight which bodes well. Great start to the Champions League. Just hope we can start the big money buys soon.

That’s more like it, trust SJM to kick start us, Jackson looks like he’s getting up to speed with the system, the counter is on for him nearly every time, then a great ball by Torres to set him off, if Mings was playing that wouldn’t happen.
Hopefully we can grab another few goals and stay top of the league.

Just watched Club Brugge U19's give our U19's a 5-3 drubbing and in reality the score flattered us! It was interesting to note how comfortable Brugge were on the ball and how nervous our lads looked when put under pressure. One of the Brugge goals was a direct result of us trying to play out from the back when the players in my view didn't look comfortable trying to do it.

I know it's only one game but I didn't see anyone who stood out and ready to step up to the next level unfortunately.

Emery nominated for coach of year at Ballon d’Or awards. Probably go to Captain Scarlet though. Still it’s recognition for a tremendous season.

Any1 think this should be the front 4
Jckson on left, madjo in middle, and mbaye on right
And manzambe

The only way that front four gets played is if we're chasing goals in the final part of a game... which we almost certainly would be if we started with that front four. Emery isn't going to risk that, and I'd agree with him.

Another new player out for weeks. We don't seem to have much luck with injuries.

This how i see it we are awful because we have ripped the heart an soul out of the team and the replacements we signed are not of the same quality Bellis, garnacho, Jackson bang average players, i think Suzuki is class and mbaye and manzambi and Gomez also ruggeri is a good defensive lb, goretzcka will add quality and leadership.

The 3 games we have played we have been dreadful 1 shot on target in 3games is embarrassing i don't think we will get a top10 finish this season and we will won't win a game in CL i wrote off the season when we sold the spine of the team not excited at all best we can hope for is a cup, also it wouldn't surprise me if unai walks he's been dealt a bad set of card this villa team is Temu point 2, it should of been a slow rebuild by shifting out 2 in 1window so we still have the right balance now its all gone

You're back then, VJ, as enthusiastic as usual. HaHa UTV.

Good to see you are ok, Jonny. Like you, many found it embarrassing, mainly because five hours of lacklustre football, nothing changed in terms of any attacking nous. It could well be a short-term blip, and once we get the quality players on the field and Emery works his magic, we could easily get back on track. 🤞

Unless I have missed something, we haven't heard from Jonny yet, I'm sure he has something to say about nearly five hours of average football, no goals and one shot on target. Looking forward to your pearls of wisdom mate.

Scotty, I think you will find Jonny has been here all along, just using a different (selective) name. 🤪

B36, never thought of VJ. I thought it was Tom, because he went quiet as well. HaHa UTV.

36, you may have a point. However, he has been accused in the past of changing his name. He usually responds if we are wrong.

I've just been thinking. All is not going well with our team at the moment, then suddenly it hit me that tomorrow I'm off to Brugge to watch Aston Villa Football Club in the Champions League again.

Four years of European football, and I think back to four years ago and all the Villa fans outside the Holte End dancing in the streets because we had made the Conference League. Bit of a sobering moment.

Hey Scot. Just referring to a post further down about THB being left out, I asked a question about who you would of left out instead of THB but it’s left unanswered. Not looking to debate your answer just interested in your opinion?

Whack, firstly, I wouldn't have left Madjo and Elliss out. Reluctantly, I would have left Mings out. I like Mings, but he's not a £30million defender, and Garnacho, he looks like a mixture of Guessand and Bailey.
