A couple players that have caught my eye in World Cup: Eli Wahi, who plays for Ivory Coast n, nice plays on the wing and is very fast and direct.
Also Connor Metcalf cm looks a good player, also Kubo from Japan.

So Spurs could be bidding up to 100 mil for Tonali. How does that work out when they have finished 17th twice, also just signed Hecke for 57mil? You have to laugh at the rules for the so called big6. I'm glad Villa got a good thing at the top of our club.
It would be nice to spend mega millions but aint gonna happen. I have no worries at all. Villa will be fine and pushing for 4th to 5th again. Sign 4/5 players with exists and squad will be better UTV

Doesn't add up, does it? I'm guessing them selling Kane for around £100M still counts towards that homegrown player pure profit thing for at least another year, then, unless they sell another kid for stupid money, they'll be screwed down the line.
If only we'd turned up when we played them, then they'd be down, but in hindsight, it all worked out for us, so what do I know. 🤷🏼♂️

{Ed001's Note - it doesn't work like that, they can spend a %age of their total income under the new regs, so it depends on how much they make from sales as they will amortise full sale amounts immediately, so adding that amount on to their income. Whereas incoming transfers will have the fees spread over 5 years, so only 20% of the transfer fee will come under this season's outgoings. They have a fair bit to spend though, Levy was very good at keeping salaries down, which has left them a fair bit of wiggle room for now. That will be gone with this summer's spending, I would expect, as I doubt they will be able to do that any more with a desire to be more competitive.}

Just a thought on the new shirt, I’ve seen that many fans saying how they love the shirt without the sponsor's name on it. Now if only half of these decide to have it plain, whoever our sponsor is won’t be too happy. 🤔🤔

I don’t know if any of you follow the ‘My Old Man Said’ the Villa Blog. If you don’t, have a look at the piece just written about the financial constraints we are operating under. If I am reading it correctly, because we breached UEFA financial rules last year and were fined, we now have to raise at least the same amount in sales as we spend, so the £100 million Nswe have given Emery cannot just be spent without commensurate sales.
I think the Malen and Barrenchea deals will have generated circa £31 million, so we will have to find a further £69 million from somewhere. No doubt other clubs are aware of the situation, hence the ridiculous offers for Martinez; they know we need the money.

Villa put their release list out, some good kids on it, including the youngest Ramsey. Now he was the one they thought could be the best of the Ramseys. A couple of the players are who we’ve paid a £1m+ for. They must consider the ones coming through even better. Must be awkward with youth players, working out who can and who can’t make it. UTV

I know it’s very early days in the World Cup, but USA looked really good against Paraguay. A well coached Poch team who moved the ball really quickly and created loads of problems for the opposition. In an excellent team performance, three players stood out for me, Balogun, McKennie and Pulisic, and if memory serves me right, we have been linked with all three in the past.
Arsenal have been looking for a centre forward for 2 or 3 years. Balogun looks a very good player to me. Don’t know why you would let him go.
