In Emery we trust. I hope all those knockers shut up, know and accept Sunday team was right.

I do hope they enjoy the humble pie.

No humble pie to be had, guys. The performance on Sunday was the worst I can remember. Everything was shocking, players and manager, they made absolutely no effort whatsoever and were rightly slated.
Tonight was the opposite end of the scale. I can’t remember a better performance this season. It had everything, energy, fight, press, skill, speed, determination.

There’s not one negative thing from tonight, everyone was brilliant, with a couple of standout performances. That’s what this team is capable of, and that’s why people get frustrated with some of Emery's tactics. We know they can play better, and that needs to be the standard if we want to be top 6 long term. Great night for Villa.

Yep, damn right. If Unai sets his team to play like that every week, I wouldn't moan, but suppose it comes den to the squad aswell, which isn't good enough yet.

If we set up to play like this every week we'd have more injuries and be knackered by now. It's funny that some on here say how bad our players are. McGinn gets stick about not being good enough. What a joke you all are that doubt him! He's our captain and heartbeat. Emery has us way above our station.

If we had a squad capable of playing like that every week, I'm sure he would, or at least try to. But we don't, so he doesn't. I don't understand this child like reaction to short term form, when Emery is working miracles with a fragile and shallow squad. You have to cut your cloth accordingly. I get frustrated at times with our style of play, but it's partially game specific, and partially about protecting players for the duration of a campaign. Plenty of teams go hell for leather and burn out.

Emery plays the averages. Maybe one day we'll have a squad capable of going for it every game, but in the meantime, you have to acknowledge Emery is getting us to a place most could only dream of, whilst competing with budgets way higher than ours.
So proud tonight of our club and fans. Hopefully pause for thought for some of the ridiculous posters on here recently.
Win against Burnely, win the final. Couldn't care less about the last two games.
This is potentially once in a lifetime stuff, embrace it.

Whatever the level we play at, it can never be as low as Sunday. Obviously, you're right that playing at that level every game we'd be knackered, but there has to be a happier medium than what we got at the weekend.

Buck a masterclass off Ginny tonight. Just shows how we miss him. His two goals were a masterclass in finishing.

We've just qualified for a major European Cup final and are on track to qualify for the Champions League via the league...again. If you choose to focus on negatives tonight, not even beer will help you, my friend.

Take a step back, think about the last 20 years, think about how it has been, and think about how it is now. Perspective is the difference between a marble and the world.

Tell it to Pluffy and RP, after all it was them bringing it up, I couldn't be happier with tonight's performance. It was world class and every bit as good as PSG v Bayern.
