Well, the dust has settled now for me personally; to witness that live was just emotional. I was stood next to a lovely old couple and was reminiscing over past years and how we have come to this point. Now, they was there in 82 and they both agreed that this has more significance because of how the game has changed over the years, ie sponsorship, money, players, etc. Every goal that went in I shed a tear thinking of my Dad and Mom — pure, pure emotion. We all hugged and the old man turned round to me and went this is the best he has ever felt on being a Villa fan, not just for winning the cup but through the last 4 seasons.
As he said, this will be his last European trip along with his wife and maybe will be his last season ticket as he is struggling now. Any way I'm giving this season a A+++; there's been some blips, but never ever underestimate just how good a manager Emery is, one of the best in the world, and by God we are so so lucky to have him.

Daz, a fantastic end to an up and down season, and hopefully we are still building for the future. You saying about that old couple, I so wish I had just gone, ticket or not.
Trying to explain the experience of a match like that is impossible to explain. As you say about that couple, maybe their last season, so wrong, lots of lifetime fans being pushed out. UTV.

Unfortunately, Dave, due to getting older and struggling health-wise, they said they just can't do it no more, they said, but what a swan song to go out too.

Id give the season, am Astar an amazing season, its trophies wot we want. We have another chance at Super Cup, then nxt FA Cup and League Cup, and Champions League as well, but i dont think we will win that. il be happy with quarter finals, top5 nxt season and League Cup win or FA Cup win.

You see, VJ, you set your targets too high, and then, when things don't happen, you go all sack him, do this, do that. We cannot compete on all 4 levels, we just can't. Again, paramount is that we qualify for Europe for financial gains next season to compete.
Don't worry about cups. If we win, you will be ecstatic. If we don't, so be it. Europe is again a must next season. Look at the bigger picture for God's sake, man.

Why is the target too high? im not saying we will do it, Daz, but il be happy with Top5 again or a trophy, either 1 il be happy. CL is where we need to be, that should be our main aim as a club, but me as a fan is winning a cup, mate.
