It's getting past a joke now villadave strikers who don't score or we take a gamble pay 25 mill for Watkins who in my opinion is to flimsy for the prem I might be out of order here and I know he's a bluenose but what's your thoughts on Troy deeney if he would come for a season or 2.

Not sure its worth getting frustrated about transfers that haven't even happened. It's silly season at the moment with people just churning out clickbait and filling gossip columns. Wait until someone is actually signed. and in an ideal world wait to see how they play before we write them off.

I totally agree but we need a goal scorer and deeney would get goals I know he's a c u next Tuesday but it's goals what matter I can't stand the slimy sod but who else can get goals Watkins is not going to get 15-20 goals the only other option is Wilson from Bournemouth and he don't exactly score boat loads.

Sick of hearing about Watkins and Wilson just get the deal done with one of them. tammy at chealsea must realise his days are numbered he had a better record overall in the championship than Watkins Tammy might cost 30-40 mill but I'd rather have him at least he'd know he'd be first choice striker and can score in the prem if I was Smith I'd at least enquire.

We have enquires, it was reported a week ago. Tammy wants to stay, fight for his place, feels he can prove to be a close second to Werner. They will be competing in 4 competitions this season, with 3 games a week most weeks up until christmas at least, enough chance to prove himself.

I don’t see the obsession in the need to sign players with premier league experience. We have that now, just for a season for many, but look at the lines of Bolasie, Taylor, Drinkwater, Baston, Micah Richards, De laat, Samba, Sendrros. Just to name a few - all big earners, with no sell on value, mostly just earning a last pay day.

Saw Eliason last season and he was top draw, puts in a good cross, an eye for a pass and could play more central than on the wing, last season Bristol city had a nightmare and Johnson was less adventurous, and they used eliason off the bench as an impact player, and he did that well, for me, if we sign him I'd be more than happy with that, but he's a lot more than a winger, so deano may have struck gold if it happens.

Oh dear oh dear yet again we have been linked to a striker that doesn't score this time Michael obifemi for around 10mill can someone tell me what the villa scouts do when they watch theses players they must see something what the statistics don't show I'd rather try and get puki from Norwich for around the same price.

I don’t think you should worry too much at the moment you could make up a couple of teams with the names we have been linked with I would be very very surprised if Obafemi started out as our leading striking option for the new season.

Don't get the concern around signing Obafmei to be honest, he just turned 20 and is clearly a talented young player. This is not our main striker transfer target but would be a addition to the squad and and improvement on both Davis and Samatta in my opinion. If he comes in he will be 3rd choice behind Wesley and our new striker (most likely Watkins) . Personally I would be absolutely delighted with this signing. We don't have to spend massive money on every player to show ambition, we can be shrewd and look for raw talent (which is 100% is) to develop with one eye on the future.

That was me who mentioned deeney I know he's despised at villa but if he got 15 goals or more I'm sure he would win some fans round personally I'd rather have a proven goal scorer than spend 25-30 mill on unproven players maybe Watkins is the answer but he'd need a season or two to get to grips with the prem.

Not a bad free signing not a lot in wages either I bet. if Jack leaves I'd love to see Bradley dack in the middle more attacking minded gets plenty of goals or Adam reach from Wednesday but our main priority is a striker and origi from Liverpool isn't the answer I don't think. maybe puki from Norwich proved he can get goals in the prem wrong age I know but good for a year or two.
