Jesus Christ! Diaby what a waste he is lazy aswell. Zanilio is rubbish. Mcguin is always trying to get it on his left foot then runs round like a headless chicken. Why can't Bailey start I wasn't a massive fan based on last season but he's been one of best players last 3 months. Miss Torres a lot anyone know when he is back?

Pundits and all them keep banging on about our away form. But I believe we have got some really tough away games out the way.
Newcastle, Liverpool, Chelsea, spurs, forest who don't lose many at home and wolves who we recently can't seem to beat. Think we are doing ok. Todays game I felt the worse before Torres goal but was a lot better in the second half great subs Emery is a genius. Long may it continue. UTV

Look past the goals and you will see what he brings to the team.
As a left footer on the left he won't get as many good shooting opportunities. Galatasaray fans keep asking why we play him on the left because of that.
A bit like Grealish he finds those gaps between the lines and helps bring the whole team up the pitch.
His link up with Digne has also been excellent, always seems to get him involved when he has the space to get a top cross in. JJ has his strengths but put him in that position and Dignes chance creation drops by at least 50%

Tom, quite a few around where I sit echoed your views, Emery obviously sees this, why else would he take him off at half time.I would imagine I would Emery will have quite a few stern words over the sloppy play towards the end, we should have been out of sight yet it quite easily could have been 3-2 with a few minutes still to go.Of course it's great to win, however I thought the atmosphere was a bit flat today and complacency was possibly the reason.

Smart move in my opinion Rk, no point risking a red, couple guys getting near missing a game aswel, I hope we have a full squad for spurs game.
for me the jury is still out on zaniolo, I see flashes but I think there may be better value for money out there next season, I don’t buy that foreign players need a year to settle, Diaby didn’t, he is a genuine talent, give me another just like him.

Whack, Zaniolo is a marmite player, I certainly haven't seen enough for him to be a Villa player next season after his loan period, reading in to it he wants to play in Italy next season, so problem solved.We surely are going to strengthen in this area in forthcoming transfer windows.

For every Diaby who settles straight away you have one or two like Bailey and Zaniolo who need to be given time. I also don’t think it helps when players are moved into different positions which on occasion Emery likes to do when he rotates players, to my mind that makes it more difficult for the player to establish themselves in a particular role, Tielemans being the classic example he is much better playing further forward than in the defensive midfielder role. I think Zaniolo is a decent player but I think it’s far too soon to judge as to whether he will be with us next season or not. It seems Emery will be doing most of his recruitment abroad rather than from the English leagues, and If we were to purchase from players already plying their trade here then you take take some of the transitional issues out of the equation. For me if it’s not Zaniolo then I think someone like ESR from the Gunners would be a decent acquisition, can play wide or through the middle, the right age and Emery knows him from his time at the Emirates.

So wrong that England selection have to feel for Ramsey and konsa. Overlooked everytime. Interesting saw this stat from last season. Jack grelish goals 5. Assists 7. Ramsey goals 6 Assists 7.

Certainly feel for Konsa but Ramsey has been out for a while and is injured again after the weekend. I've given up trying to make sense of England squads these days though.
I fancy Villa to put on a show tonight and score highly.maybe 4-1.so we'll probably loose 0-2 given how my acca's have gone the last few weeks.

I think it's funny how he used to say he'd pick in form players doing well for their clubs and now says we have to be wary of 'recency bias' (form) in regards to Watkins.
Watkins has been better than Nketiah for the last 3 years so why is Nketiah there just for scoring a couple of goals recently?
Why is Levi Colwill there after having half a good season at Brighton?
It amazes me how everything he says about us and our players is completely contradictory to everything else he does. He couldn't even bring himself to say our name in the bit about Watkins, just "his club are very well coached".

It’s always been the same with Boregate even when he was managing the under 21s their water multiple players for years (Albrighton and Baker were two I remember for sure who he’d swerve for others out of form because of who they played for! Nothing has changed, it’s the same rhetoric.
All of it because he left the club the way he did, lied about his motivations and got caught out and rightfully called out. Should’ve just said he wanted more money and be done with it.
Decades later and the man can’t drop his grudge because the opposite means swallowing his pride and acknowledging his own faults.

I agree re Ramsey, just coming back from injury he was never going to get picked in this squad. Konsa should be ahead of Maguire but Southgate will never drop Maguire, if Southgate is in charge of England when Maguire has retired (god forbid) it wouldn’t surprise me if he still tried to pick him then.
The guy I feel sorry for is JWP I think he has something like 2 goals and 3 assists this season and yet Phillips who can’t get anywhere near the Man City first XI and Henderson who is playing in a sub standard league get picked before him it’s totally bizarre. If England had been managed by the likes of Klopp or Poch over the past 4-5 years we would have won at least one major trophy if not more, with the current clown in charge we will win nothing.

Shirt pulling and holding players is hardy dirty. You could tell that when tarkoski went in for a tackle he wanted to hurt someone that is dirty
