Ed001 wondering if there's any truth to the rumour of Watkins to Saudi? Seems strange a rumour to suddenly pop out of what seems like nowhere so close to the season start.
{Ed001's Note - they have been trying to sign him for a few years, Watkins has never been interested. Maybe they are just trying again after seeing how good that youngster is and thinking Watkins might be more amenable if his place is no longer certain.}

I think if Unai can get Jackson and circa £40 million for Watkins then he'll let him go. Otherwise I can't see it happening.

I think if he wanted Jackson he would have signed him by now, and would have prioritised him over Garnacho.
People say "oh Emery loves him." He scored something like 3 goals under him when he managed him previously. He's rubbish, nobody wants him.

{Ed001's Note - I don't know mate, normally I ignore what he says as he will pump out every different variation over the next few days for clicks so often, but he might actually have info this time. If Watkins is not first choice, he probably would want to leave, that has never been the case before. This season though, his minutes will be shared and he knows that, so maybe he has decided this is the time to move.}

Watkins has one big move in him. I don’t see one of the so-called big six moving in for him. Will staying in the PL cement him in England's starting XI? No. Does he have anything left to prove in the PL? Not really.
Will moving to Saudi for a couple of years set him up for the rest of his days? Yes. Then, from his perspective, a move to Saudi makes absolute sense. Whether it does from the club's perspective is a totally different question.
