Fabrizio Romano, who is one of the most widely respected sports journalists, has said that a deal for Rogers moving to Arsenal is progressing, and one of the only issues outstanding is the size of the fee.

Villa wont bck down on the fee. Should 120mil to 150mil, look how the market is. Plus Forest are telling City 130mil for Anderson, Villa should do the same, we shouldnt be bullied by the so called big boys. While Il be gutted to see him, im not that gutted, hes replaceable. Plus on form is he as good as Jck? Not a chance in my opinion. Plus Rodgers moving to Arsenal, is he gonna get the freedom hes has at Villa? Plus look at the times he looses the balls, will Arsenal fans put up with that? Also he has months where he doesnt do much aswell.
Overal grass isnt greener, plus the way Arsenal play wont suit him. Who gonna replace him now? Dont think we should look in the prem for his replacement cos the price would be crazy. Look abroad, id like Nemacha from Dortmund, Soule from Roma, Gonchalves ftom Lisbom, Godtz from Ajax, Nico Williams from Billbaoua. Nemacha for me would be amazing signing and we would have money left to sign Godtz. Them 2 signings would make Villa even better. Infact any from that list will there are great players.

Going on that list, Jonny, he's more than easily replaced. Also think (if it's wingers we're gonna go with) that Buendia or SJM could play that No10 role, Tielemans even. That's if we have wingers both sides, say Godts & Soule.
If the rumours are true & Sporting are willing to let Gonchalves go for less than £30M, what a scary attack we would have with him at No10 as well. ?

I've admired Goncalves for quite a few seasons now, I think he's brilliant.
Somebody is telling lies if Romano is correct. Sky announced that there have been no club-to-club discussions yet? I'll be disappointed if he goes, but it sounds like we will milk him dry.
Arsenal is not a great move for him, in my opinion, but only God knows how it will pan out for him.
