Tielemans let his contract run down at Leicester and went for a free. Villa saw same thing happening and decided to cash in now. Good business in my opinion. He will be a big miss but as stated on here he does miss a lot of games through injury and his scoring stats are not the best.
All in all I think we have made the correct decision.

Same aswell, shew he will be replaced, owners trust Unai, plus age of the squad is coming dwn, and seems like we are rebuilding the squad again. All good managers rebuild teams and squads. nxt few weeks will be interesting for Villa, plus also frobt sponsor could be announced aswell and arm sponsor.

We didn't decide anything. United met his release clause, there was nothing we could do to stop it, only he could choose. I'm raging it's United, to be honest. He will be brilliant with Bruno.
I see people complaining about his release clause being so low. In truth, it probably reduced each year of his contract.
He was also a free agent, so he held the aces in the negotiations. Hard to see him go; he's the engine in our midfield. We improved when McGinn came back, but we weren't back properly until Youri came back and got back to match fit. We need a strong signing in the center to fill that void. Gussand plus cash for Wharton, anyone?

I'd like to see us get Kone from Roma or Zaire Emery from PSG.
