You have to wonder why a 29-year-old would opt to sign for a side who, at best, will be a mid-table Premiership side, when he could have opted to play for a side competing in the Champions League. I can only assume it’s a total lack of ambition on the player's part.

You on about Wilson, lord, I'm glad he's not signed, he's not good enough anyway and has no resale value, but agree with ur point. Champions League at club level is the best club competition in the world, and 99percent of players want to play in it. He must think he's not good enough to get in our side or squad, mate.

You don't need resale value on a free agent, he would have been a useful squad player, but that might not have been enough for him, or maybe Emery had no interest. Senesi is the one I was most disappointed we didn't try to get in the door.

I think we aren't prepared to risk getting any sales through the door because of our SCR issues, which means, in effect, all the clubs who will be directly competing with us for CL next season will have nailed their transfer business nice and early. You are already starting to see that Man City, Liverpool, Utd and Chelsea have got signings through the door already.

Apparently we had/have offered contracts to Wilson, Senesi, Mingueza and Brandt, all free agents, and it looks like we won't land any. I'm afraid we are going to end up with the scraps that the top sides don't really want. Even after the fantastic season we have had, I worry about our ability to compete in the upcoming campaign.

We won't be able to compete next season. We needed to hold onto our stars and sign 3 players that would be regular starters. Sadly, we're scuppered by the rules. Think it'll be Emery's last season, and we'll disappear into mid table.

Maybe Lord Unai didn't want any of them. No1 knows our targets, mate, or 2nd, 3rd or 4th. We signed 2 players last year, got 4th and won Europa. With Unai in charge, I am not worried, players will come. No1 really has gone ahead of us by the signings they have made. Spurs' signings are bang average. Chelsea, no1 knows wot they're gonna do, same with Liverpool. City won't be as good as under Pep but will be in top4.

Man U, I reckon, are gonna struggle. Villa will be fine. Yes, we could make loads of signings, but they have to be the right signings. Spurs are paying way over the odds and high wages. Yes, the rules are bs, but we all know that. Look at Newcastle, they're done, I reckon, feel sorry for em aswell. I do think Villa should be signing younger players, with Unai moulding them into top players. UTV have faith, guys.
