Seven consecutive games with the same tactics, same poor team selection and yet there are many on here that think Emery is still the man. Let me tell you he is not. One poor defeat happens, two defeats and poor performances are not unusual. Seven consecutive games with the same tactics and poor team selection is down to a manager bereft if ideas and the next run of games will be exactly the same, how do I know, because Emery is in charge of team selection and tactics.
Who can pick Bailey, Maatsen, Buendia, Watkins game after game and expect anything to change, only our manager who is obviously working his ticket, I don't think he will see out the season and I think there are many that won't be too sad including Emery himself.

It's hard to argue, Scot. I mean, I saw his lineup tonight and said to myself we are cooked. I'm no football expert, but I know what each particular player we have is capable of, and the result does not surprise me one bit. So how can someone of his experience not see what was going to happen?
Even going in at half time, you have to say, OK, Buendia hardly touched the ball, get him off. Bailey is not helping Cash, so let's get him off. Ollie has had 2 or 3 good chances and didn't take them, so we need to change him. Even if he had changed to a 4-4-2 and got Abraham on with Ollie, instead we'll take off Cash for a midfielder and leave on the worst players on the pitch.
But making those changes would only prove he got it wrong. He's a good manager, but he's not elite like some people think. This season especially, he's hiding behind psr, injuries, and goals from outside the box.
We had money to spend and he wasted it. Sure, it's not as much as other teams had to spend, but nobody ever heard of Guessand before we splashed 30 million on him, then we loaned him out. Mss as Len is a much better finisher than Watkins, everyone knows it, and we loaned him out to bring another striker that he refuses to start. It's not all his fault the predicament we're in, but he has contributed a decent bit to it along with his man Monchi.

Whack, many more will eventually see exactly what you and I see, unfortunately they still won't accept it. Simply, if nothing changes, how on earth can any sensible fan expect the last seven games not to be the norm?

We've had 29 league games in a row with the same tactics. It's gotten us to 4th! I don't know why you're blaming Emery. Last season we could bring on Rashford, Ascencio, and Malen. This season we've got Sancho and Buendia. That's the difference.

We almost have to gamble on players outperforming their price tag. Guessand had a really good season last year and has all of the physical attributes to be successful. Maybe he doesn't like Birmingham. Serie A isn't as good as the Prem, so Malen looks good. Couldn't do it consistently in the Prem.
