Goodbye champions league, Lille will do a job on us, all I see is players who are not up for it, we looked like we had 2 players less than them all second half, just shocking to lose like that to these bums but it's exactly what we deserved from the game, zero urgency every game until we go behind, it's so hard to remain positive watching them, completely clueless

Tonight hasn't been coming, Scot; it's been here since we lost our midfield to injury. My biggest gripe is with management, and the ridiculous decisions they have made with transfers and Emery's stubbornness in team selection. Buendia had 1 good game since Christmas, but remained on the pitch while Sancho was hooked. My only surprise is he wasn't sent off before being subbed. He's an impact sub and never a starter. Watkins is terrible, but Emery continues to start him. Both Malen and Guessand are performing well in systems that suit them. Add their fees to the fees paid for Onana and Maatsen, and you're looking at around 130 million wasted, in my opinion. We had a strong core in our team, but the players added over the last 2 seasons just haven't worked, apart from Rogers, who was almost the cheapest of the players brought in over the last few seasons.
Emery has done great things, but he's also cost us when it was most important, and don't get me started on that 'has been' Monchi, but it was Emery who pushed to bring him in. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying he should be sacked, but we have delivered some great 'half' seasons. We need him to deliver a great 'full' season if we are to win something. Hopefully tonight is the kick up the backside he needs to change things. As it stands, we need other teams to do a job for us, but I can't see it happening.
