The good thing about the run we are on is we are winning all sorts of games, ones where we are great from start to finish a la Bournemouth, games where teams ask us to wear them down like Wolves or games when we fall behind like today and at Brighton. Irrespective of our start it's been superb season Emery continues to get the best out of his players, his substitutions have been fantastic and in most cases game changing and we have shown with the squad we have we can win in Europe and in the subsequent PL game.
The pundits seem to think we can't win the Premiership and whilst they may very well be right, if we keep Martinez, add a quality centre forward plus a quick winger in January then I think if we can't win it we can certainly run the Cities and Arsenal's of this world close. I may be biased but given the tools he initially had to work with and the rapid progress made in Emery we have the best manager in the Premier League. UTV

Good post Lotm, think we have our winger with the guy we signed the other day, we definitely need a striker, don’t know what has happened Watkins he works so hard off the ball then when he gets it he’s got no idea what to do, every other player we have will shoot when they get a chance except our striker, it’s mind boggling.
I can’t speak for anyone else but as soon as Roger’s got that ball today in the space he had I knew he was going to bury it, you can’t give him that much space and expect nothing to happen.
starting to worry about Bizot also, he looked very shaky today.
mediocre performance but enough to see them off, great result, great to keep up with the top 2 and keep the distance to those behind. I do expect a much better performance next weekend I think we will be well up for it!
and some of the teams close behind us are going to drop points so if we can win it will be huge in terms of top 4 credentials

I agree re Bizot I was concerned against Basel when he bottled coming for a ball which ended up in our net but was subsequently disallowed and the way a small guy like Summerville bullied him on a couple of corners yesterday was poor, that’s why it’s critical in my mind we keep Martinez until the summer at least.
